"The family and the animals are friendly and care for you well. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin so when someone sneezes in the next room it will wake you up. I was happy that most of the time I stayed here alone. There is a fantastic view of the hillside village Altavilla Silentina. I was glad to spend the two weeks driving around to learn more about the area as I was thinking about buying a home here, but the level of local poverty means it would be difficult to get services here. "A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room. "

"If you want a true Italian family experience then a stay at BnB La Mortella is the answer. We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. The BnB was a bit hard to find but once we were there it was worth seeking. Antonio and his family also work the land with citrus and olive groves dominating the landscape. They also produce olive oil for their business. Each...

"We attended a wedding in Capaccio. The bride and groom suggested this hotel. It is so tastefully done. Even though it is only about 10 years old it appears authentic. The restaurant was superb and the proprietor and staff were exceptional with their caring. It is a family operation and they are charming. The views were magnificent with water views including the Isle of Capri in the distance. The beds were comfortable and rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the pool as it was a warm time of year. I...

"We enjoyed staying at the hotel and the pool is very nice. However at the restaurant the waiter overcharged us and the hotel refused to adjust the bill later. Be very careful ordering any antipasto. Even if they give you a small serving of cheese as they did in our case you still might be charged 48 Euro instead 12. There were only three people in our party but somehow we were charged for four cheese antipasti. Honest mistake or not the hotel should have corrected it"

"Stayed at several B&Bs during our trip. This one we would not return to. AC wouldn't go below 28c/82f. The beds were really hard, so between the heat and bed it was very hard to sleep. Be prepared to carry your bags up spiral staircase 3 floors without help. Bring a towel for pool, they do not provide. Not thrilled to see house cat walking on kitchen countertops and workspaces in the evening. Although they do not serve dinner, you can not bring a pizza there to eat at dinner time. 'The other...

"The hotel itself was beautiful, particularly the grounds. Breakfast was very nice as well. We had one diner at the restaurant which was good, though pricey and more formal than our usual preference. There are plenty of other options very nearby as well. It's easy waking distance to the spectacular archaeological park at Paestum."

"Wonderful quiet location with views of the mountains! Owner and staff were gracious and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of food. Good place to base yourself out of to explore the area, including the ruins at Paestum. "

"This is a very tranquil place to stay, nestled in beautiful hills with some very pleasant nearby towns--in particular, Sicignano degli Alburi. We attended a large family reunion in Sicignano, and Mariangela, our hostess at La Tavernola, was very accommodating, allowing a small family photo exhibit on the premises, while also catering a delicious snack ("an evening under the stars") to finish up the weekend. Our room was charming and airy, with a pleasing view of the countryside. The breakfasts...

"The staff is wonderful; very friendly and helpful. The facility is kept impeccably. It is fairly close to the Greek ruins, which was our reason for visiting. "

It’s my third stay here and would recommmend
Just the car park can be a bit tight

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is a nice place to stay with its own beach. Employees from front of house to cleaning, the drivers and restaurant/bar staff was great. Even enough sunloungers for everyone.
Breakfast was superb and suitably replenished.
Hotel collection from airport free and whilst delayed, we were unable to confirm timings due to delays again flying with British Airways. But hotel did a really good job accommodating us. Thank you.
I went diving in Agropoli - do contact Allessandro of Sub Mania - so easy to arrange - and my daughter visited Pompeii. Italian trains cheap and on time!
Couple of negatives - the hotel is in the sticks, the cover charge a rip off when 2 of the party were young children, no real other dining options close by - although do go to il Primavera - 10 minute walk with good reasonably priced food and very friendly staff.
Overall much praise.

"Ideal for a family stay. Beach club over the road and easy 5-19 minute walk from main town and great restaurant and cafe/bar facilities. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Pool shut since pandemic but it was indoor anyway. Great value!"
"A hidden gem! Beautiful accommodations. Superior room was very spacious. Location excellent and close to the ruins and buffalo mozzarella farm. Excellent food on resort! "
"Staff was so sweet a woman checked us in as she was so great! It had a beautiful view overlooking the town of Salerno in the balcony i wish we stayed longer haha. We booked here since it was close to the station and the port.
We walked at night from the other port of Salerno and I felt so incredibly safe the city was alive with people walking and eating. It was a beautiful beach town , the summertime seemed to make everyone happy. Room was tall with a high ceiling we had a gorgeous sunrise . Also thanks to hotel for letting us check in a little earlier that helped so much since we had a ferry to Amalfi early. For my first time in Italy and Salerno and it was a memorable experience."
"The staff were wonderful truly excellent hospitality from start to finish. The hotel itself was a solid 10/10 in every aspect: service, cleanliness, and overall comfort. The location is unbeatable ,close to everything, especially the train station and the ferry port, which made getting around super easy. Breakfast was a highlight as well, with great options and service running until 10:30. Highly recommend!"
"We arrived early at the hotel and we're allowed to park at the hotel while we walked to the ancient Greek Temples which were an easy walk from the hotel.
The hotel had beautiful grounds and a nice swimming pool.
The room was nice and clean, but simple.
We atedinner and it was delicious, as was the morning breakfast.
All in all a great stay and we would do it again. If you are going to see the Temples, it is worth a stay. "
