Ipswich is applauded for its theater and entertainment with such cultural attractions as Ipswich Museum and Ipswich Regent Theatre. This historical city has something for everyone including its sports, restaurants, and sights like Blackfriars and Portman Road.
Has got a lot of normal Town facilities and good high street and retail parks and an impressive water front .. the surrounding area generally has a lot to offer, with Constable country, Sutton Ho, Rivers, countryside and East coast resorts nearby.

It is located in the nicest part of the town, but just 10 / 15 minute drive to Dedham, or towards the Suffolk coast. Its within walking distance of lovely restaurants, bars and the football ground.

Great Harbour area and local to some shops and places to eat. There are some appealing places (villages and coastal areas) just a short drive away from the City.

Lovely meal on the waterfront. Overall a good base for a Sutton hoo visit.
"An ancient pub with fantastic bedrooms. Easy parking, excellent range of beers in the bar, great staff, clean and well looked after room. No restaurant at the pub but a fantastic breakfast basket in the room. Really nice place. Thoroughly recommended"
"Our family room was comfortable and quirky. The staff were very friendly and we all enjoyed our breakfast. A great place to stay when travelling through Norfolk."
"What an amazing, reasonably priced and idealistic hotel!
With breakfast included, it was worth returning again and we shall do.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Highly recommended."

"Usually stay in premier inn but was double the price!! First time here and i fid think it would be out of the way but ot wasn't.
Nice pub & restaurant and shops nearby.

"A decent, pleasant hotel in a good location. Didn’t eat in the restaurant whilst we were there but heard good things from others in our congregation that did eat there. Friendly staff in the hotel and restaurant/bar. "
"Excellent little find. Amazing value, comfy king sized bed. Friendly staff at check in, which was quick and simple.
Generous complimentary breakfast hamper, teas and coffees. We asked for extra milk in the morning, which we was given.
Very clean room - great power shower.
Beautiful quiet village. Lots of little shops, bakery and pubs. We ate at The White Heart - Green King (we booked a table) and the food was delicious. "
"The stairs to 2nd floor rooms are a bit confusing but other than that all was good
Excellent breakfast served a very nice and capable young lady called Amy. Jack who booked us in was also very professional "
"We had a very pleasant stay. Every member of staff seemed to go out of their way to be helpful. Our room was clean if a little dated and the bed was extremely comfortable .. We enjoyed using the pool and the changing room was fine. We did not have pound coins for the lockers and the hotel is cash free. Maybe advise guests on check in to bring a coin?
Food choice was limited but we enjoyed our dinner . Breakfast was fairly standard but plentiful and well organised
We would stay again"
"Just a one night stay but made very welcome. Room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable.
Excellent choice of food, which was of a very high standard. Great bar and garden area. Would definitely stay again."
"Excellent stay again. Staff very friendly. Lovely food. The hotel was really busy as they had two weddings during our stay. The cleanliness however was not up to its previous standard. "
"The only bad point was the awful mattress.
For me it was just worn out.
But, the price paid and everything else was unbeatable.
The full English was amazing value for money cooked just right and lots of it, superb.
A lovely stay in a great seafront room.
Would use this hotel again."
"Located behind "Kind of Spice" so type that in when looking for this place. No lift in the annex building, which is where our room was (2nd flr). Otherwise, kind staff and clean rooms. Complimentary bottles of water at the FD, just ask. Breakfast selection was fantastic; you can pay the night before and save 4bucks compared to the day of. No dinner service, but the bar is open in the evening from 5:30- 10:15pm. "King of Spice" (curry) is right around the corner, so we had dinner there instead. NO a/c. -JB from Cali"
"Upon arrival I was met with nice friendly staff. I had my wedding reception here so I already knew the place was top notch. Brilliant hotel, throughly recommend. If I could pick one issue is that the wifi wasn’t the best and didn’t really work. "
