"Ah, what a gem of a place! A bit off the beaten track, but that's exactly what I was looking for and the Galley of Lorn did not disappoint. The overall air is casual, the staff are friendly and chatty, and nothing is too much trouble. The whole interior looks fairly recently updated, but it's left with enough older features to retain some character. The rooms are all named after Scottish islands, and we stayed in Skye. The room is black and gold decor, done well, not at all overstated. Usual tea and coffee, small fridge (tiny, and tucked inside one of the bedside cabinets,) a safe, hairdryer... Most, if not all, the things you might reasonably expect. The television is probably the largest I've ever seen in any hotel room, which was excellent, and there's an Alexa Show by the bed as well. The bed itself is relatively firm, which suits us entirely. The bathroom is clean and modern. It has an excellent waterfall shower in a double sized shower cubicle, with good water pressure. And then there's the view from the room onto an inlet of Loch Craignish; I'll add pictures. Food, excellent, no complaints. Large plates of well made meals with a focus on locally sourced produce, from Cristian the chef... Don't tell him it's excellent, his head is said to be big enough already. Must mention Laura, receptionist/ barmaid/ waitress, for just being excellent all round. "

"Beautiful B&B, with comfy bed, excellent pillows, absolutely excellent breakfast and lovely hosting. The whole place is immaculate. We stayed for our first night on the Isle before heading off on the coastal way. It's a short walk from the ferry terminal and has a lovely view over the water. It was the perfect way to spend our first night and rest up / get fuelled up! "

The Continental breakfast was generous, varied and more than enough to satisfy and set you up for the day! When I am next in that area, I’ll certainly book to stay at the Ashbank and shall make the recommendation for others to do so too!"

"Problem with check in. When trying to register they said they expected us the day before claiming that someone had contacted the hotel asking if we could check in a day earlier. Fortunately I was able to show the staff my Hotel booking with the correct date. The matter was resolved but had caused us a bit of a panic before the staff member said that there was a room available for us. The hotel is a bit tired looking in places but the breakfast was "
