"My stay was short but good , the hotel had a pool and spa which came in handy
Kid friendly
Good choice of breakfast in the morning and staff are helpful and friendly
The only thing that was a little off was the continuous bad smell of the toilets in my room but if the door is kept closed the smell goes away till you enter again ( it must be a sewage thing )"

Milton Keynes is an unusual city. New town with very spacious public spaces, spread over a strange road network with huge number of roundabouts and wide avenues. Great selection of shops and amenities, but easier to explore by car than walking.

Often regarded as a joke but it's easy to get around and has lots of greenery to present as a pretty place. Can't get away from the plethora of roundabouts but - they work and keep traffic moving.

We used it as a base to go into London as there's great train service and it's so much cheaper. Saying that there is a fabulous shopping centre theatre and restaurants all located in Milton Keynes too.

Lots of things to do with the kids and plenty of places to eat. Roads very busy and drivers not also the best mannered as everyone seems in a rush everywhere
"The welcome on arrival at reception was really warm and inviting.Staff were really polite and all questions or requests were addressed.
Having been to a musical festival and coming back in high spirits, it was wonderful to be served by bar & lounge staff Mandy. She had such high energy and was a total delight to speak with.
Overall, my 1 night stay was good vale for money. "
"My first room the air con was not working or the tv - went to ask if maintenance could help and was just instantly upgraded.
Fab service - although someone did walk in to our room at 10:30 thinking it was empty !"
" After a very hot day in the city to come back to a clean room with air conditioning was wonderful, it helped towards a good nights sleep, bed comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking fields . Found the staff helpful and friendly. "
"Initial room was unsuitable for our needs, as booked, but thanks to Natalia whose professional outlook actually found a suitable room, our stay was enjoyable although breakfast prices were beyond our budget so we ate offsite . The only thing was was missing in our room was an information booklet regarding site facilities, menus, local amenities etc. and more importantly tv instructions."
"Had room overlooking canal basin. Very hot but fan in room. Fridge microwave and crockery provided with list of local takeaways. Was Stonehouse restaurant next door which was ok as no onsite restaurant. Steep stairs to first floor and no lift seen. Parking ok. "
"The owners were exceptionally friendly, lovely views from accommodation, and quiet, breakfast was individually cooked and accommodated our food preferences. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to friends and family."
"I stayed here for one night. The food was delicious and everything was so straight forward. They even brought the food up to my room as I was staying solo and had driven up after work"
"Great little find. it was lovely to wake up and sit with a cuppa and see baby ducks, swans and squirrels. Peaceful, clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't try any of the facilities available as it was a one night pitstop but will be returning soon to try them out."
"There was no water so I couldn’t have a shower then I tried to go to breakfast at 10:47 (breakfast was advertised as open until 11:00) and I was told breakfast was closed. Pretty unimpressive all round."
"We had a lovely stay in a great location looking over at the lake. The staff were really friendly and accommodating., the room was lovely and clean. Would definitely stay there again."
"We had a great reunion last night, everyone was amazing from food to the service. Bar hours could be a bit longer but in all it was a fantastic break "
"I've been in the road for 30 years since coming out of the forces.
I can honestly say I've spent time in cleaner and more comfortable fox holes.
Access from 2, arrived at three to be left waiting until 5 before being given the door codes.
Floor, worktops and all touchpoints sticky. Absolutely Horrid.
Emails, voicemails and phones calls completely ignored.
Do not confuse MK Short Say with Short Stay MK as i did.
You will regret it!"
