Very peaceful. Not a lot there but it was lovely. Really enjoyed going to the Village Inn and having a nice cold cider in the sunshine overlooking the water. The Arrochar Hotel's "beer garden" wasn't as nice.

Arrived late afternoon, driving along a tatty driveway, into an almost empty carpark that looked more like waste ground with an abandoned car in the corner.
The hotel looked derelict. What I assume might have been a swimming pool building looked filthy.
Inside the foyer and reception were amazing. My room was just like in the pictures. A little bit dusty, a little bit worn.
But it felt like being in some kind of surreal experience. When I went out for the evening and came back, reception was deserted. Ditto the next day.
I don't know if this is in the middle of a refurbishment or what.
And no wifi in the rooms. I think you could "plug in" to the internet, but no wifi on the 6th floor."
