10/10 Excellent
"My parents stayed here while we visited my husband's family who lives nearby. They loved the quaint town and walkability of the beautiful historic town. The listing said the hotel was air conditioned, but their room was not. They chose not to move rooms, as they had already unpacked, but that was their only complaint. "
"Thank you to the staff for making us feel at home. Your kindness, care, and hospitality meant so much to us. We truly appreciated the warmth and comfort you provided."
"I stayed in this hotel due to the fitness facilities advertised even though it was a little further from where my business meeting was the next morning. When I arrived at 8pm I was told that the Restaurant would close at 8.30pm and the gym at 9pm. I joked that I would have to decide whether to eat or go to the gym and was told I could do both very quickly. I decided to use the gym and walked to a supermarket after to buy some food. When I used the gym I was told that although it only opens at 8am (way too late if travelling on business), there may be an option for the caretaker to open it up earlier if arranged with reception. I don't know how this hotel got a four star rating base don the room I stayed in. It was very dated, there was no fridge (just a screwed shut cupboard in its place), no coffee making facilities and only very basic all in one wash in the bathroom - no moisturiser or shampoo and conditioner etc - all items I would expect in a 4 star hotel. The sockets in the bathroom were exceptionally dirty. Whilst all the staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful, I must say I was very disappointed with this hotel considering its star rating. Oh and there was no air con and the nearby motorway was very loud when the window was open."
"Wonderful hotel. Top quality. Attention to detail in the decor, amenities, service and food. Loved every minute of this hotel. The spa was excellent. One of the best I've stayed in. If the restaurant could stay open until 22:00, it would enable business travellers to enjoy the pool and spa for a little longer. Other than that, 10/10 from me!"
"Excellent room. Five star, modern amenities in a very clean and spacious room. Modern bathroom with hair dryer provided. Have travelled all over Europe and United States and did not expect such modern amenities in such a quaint, small German town. Truly lovely."
"Lovely old style hotel, we had a large room with a very comfortable bed, modern wood furniture, nice new bathroom with walk-in shower. the house has a beautiful park/garden on the shores of the lake. breakfast was brought to the table and not fantastic, as there were few guests it probably was not worth having the buffet but choice and quality could be better. other than that highly recommended hotel."
"We stayed in a large, well designed room with integrated shower and wash basin, accessible and easy to use for everyone without having the feel of a ‘disabled’ room, comfortable beds, very clean. The breakfast buffet offered a good choice, and we also had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant. All in all a very pleasant experience, also good value for money."
"In beginning one lady from reception had rush me, but later she get back on normal. Rooms ok, but could be better for the price payed and same the breakfast.Location is nice, being in the centrum. Parking costs 8E per day"
"This hotel is very beautiful, but food is very limited with little variety. The breakfast was just different types of granola, eggs, lunch meat, and rolls! No toast or pastries which was very odd. The restaurant at night offers salads, fish, and chicken all with risotto which was also bizarre since most German food comes with potatoes. Besides lacking in food choices, this hotel has tons of stairs! Be prepared to cart your luggage up and down them since there are no elevators. Very remote location with no amenities around."
"It gets you there really well. Clean, efficient. Best shower system I ever had. The charm of an old medieval city, fantastic views, wonderful old buildings, excellent restaurants in 500-year-,old settings, the hotel is a stone's throw from all that. It is outside the city walls, a bit overlit at night. Noise level pretty minimal. Nothing broke but if it had I'm not sure who to call. Parking at thd hotel is handy; driving (let alone parking) inside the city walls is tough; it,'s really a giant pedestrian mall with a couple of channels for supply trucks, emergency vehicles.(As it should be!) The motel takes care of that problem."
