"Jenna's B&B was an excellent place to stay! The views here of the lake and the volcanoes were so beautiful and the place truly felt like home. Our villa was comfortable and clean. We were provided with fresh linens and fresh water daily. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Yvan and Andrea really helped us get our plans organized and helped us get around to the different towns, making plans for us while we were there. They are both extremely communicative and friendly and without a doubt helped to maximize our experience. I don't know what I would have done without them! Norbert, who was a member of the staff as well was the sweetest and most accommodating. He went above and beyond for us during our stay. The food at Jenna's is also a 10/10. We had breakfast and dinner there during our stay and enjoyed the well flavored, delicious meals. When I return to Lake Atitlan I will definitely be looking forward to staying here again. Now that I am back home I am missing waking up to the breathtaking views while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee on a chilly morning."

"Visitors must be aware of the steep, difficult climb from the main road. Fit folx in their 20s and 30s won't be too fussed, but we're pretty fit for our 50s and it was a real effort. Handrails leading up to the yurts would make an excellent safety addition. We stayed in the top yurt (#4) and the views are tremendous and worth the big climb. We requested breakfast delivery in the am and it arrived on time! Delicious. Recommend this relatively new destination!"

"okay so let's start with cleanliness. it's obvious the house wasn't cleaned before we got there or the sheets. The bed sheets smelled dusty and the bathroom smelled like urine. The shower had someone's else hair on the walls and floor. The pool was not heated even though it did say it was. There's no tv which was okay to disconnect. there's no AC which was fine since it was cool at night and they did provide a fan. definitely make sure to stop by the supermarket to get food because restaurants aren't close by, it's a good 15 mins walk to a few or 15 mins lancha to Pana. Nice walk to the house and property which I wasn't expecting with luggage's and kids. Overall it was okay. Lush landscape, hammocks were great but the worse part was the cleanliness. We came back sick from all the dust. "

"I absolutely loved this hotel and staff. Everyone was amazing. The front desk people were so helpful, called us tuk tuks, ordered in food for us. I wish i remembered his name but one of the guys spoke English and was awesome. The tuk tuks from hotel took only about 15 mins to get us. Santander street (all shopping, bars and restaurants) was like a 8 min ride away and a 30 min walk which we did a couple times. The view from the hotel was absolutely insane. I’d stay there every time I go to Guatemala. "

The room was nice, although a little bit dated, but overall it was clean and had good amenities, like a coffee maker and refrigerator. "A lot of stairs to the rooms. No A/C, no screens on the doors so you have to close the doors and gets a little hot. Beautiful scenery of the lake from the rooms. Birds singing in the morning. Cafeteria is facing the lake. Beautiful "

"You could write a book on all the wonderful things about El Picnic. Jochen&Gaby have crafted a serene and beautiful experience with some of the most amazing views of Lake Atitlan. Stellar views, thoughtfully designed rooms, relaxing lounge area, and delicious meals. It's a glamping experience that provides a great hub for checking out the other lake towns. Easy to get around via tuktuk or the ferry. Gaby was also so incredibly helpful and always available for any questions, suggestions or booking help. Jochen is modest about his culinary skills but they were plated beautifully, great portions and above all delicious. The mental recharge you get from the well maintained and beautiful grounds is unparalleled. Only word of advice is that bags with shoulder straps are prefered because there are steps and its easier to climb without rolling luggages. Do yourself the favor and book this amazing retreat with picture perfect views of the lake. "

"I had a terrific stay at the Amankaya Lake House lake house. From the moment I arrived, Fernando (the owner) went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. He was incredibly accommodating and friendly, always ready to help with anything his guests needed. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared—whether it was assisting people with getting around Lake Atitlán or just taking the time to sit down and play a game of Yahtzee with us, Fernando made the experience feel personal and memorable. The view of the lake was absolutely breathtaking—one of the highlights of the stay. Waking up to that scenery each day was something special. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay with unbeatable views and a host who truly goes the extra mile, I can’t recommend this place enough. "Despite the error made on the part of Expedia as far as how many rooms we had reserved, the owner gave us the same discount on the third room. He also was very helpful in providing information about the area - restaurants, swimming holes and hiking trails. The kitchen was available to the guest to use as needed as long as you cleaned up afterwards."
