"We use this hotel when travelling to Portugal and back to the UK. Absolute gem of a place, we look forward to staying there and the associated Pizza restaurant (Pizza Pizza) which is a 5 min walk away is always great. We also travel with our two dogs and they are always welcomed. "

"The hotel Castellano is located at the city centre and you can go by foot from there to the Salamanca University attractions. There you have, even, an interesting annex, part of the hotel, like a pub, where you can sit at the tables around the sidewalk and watch the moviment at Portugal Avenue. "Excellent accommodations. Booked my mother & 15 year old daughter for 21 days here while my daughter attended a day camp. Highly recommend Hostal Hispanico II, staff very friendly & attentive, room was perfect for two or 3 & even had a 3rd mattress to pull out under twin bed. Room we had had a balcony view, private bathroom & flat screen tv. Neighborhood is very calm & safe, with local eateries with affordable options. Location is a close drive to train station and 15 minute walk to Plaza...

"The area surrounding the hostel is great, plenty of shops and dining options however check in was a bit tricky but the hostel staff was great at solving my issues. The room is extremely small but warm and clean, my only issue was the size of the bathroom it was complicated to take shower without getting water all over the place. It was good just for a few hours of sleep."

"Checking into Hostal Gud was not easy. After calling we got help thru Whatsapp but the person at the other end just delivered his message superfast andcthen hung up without making sure we had understood. It all just seemed strange and anonymous. We never saw a living person there.The bathroom was the tiniest I have ever seen.No aircondition made the small room hot as a sauna and the noice outside continued until 4 in the morning. Never again will i stay at Hostal Gud."

"This outfit has several hostals in Salamanca centre. They sent me to a different one from what I had booked. Also thevreception was in a different one again, lots of walking to and fro. And reception open only 5-9 pm . And if you don't have them on WhatsApp you cannot get your entry codes ..."
