"It seemed fine when we arrived. The bar, restaurant and beer garden are nice. But when we went to bed we realised a huge and very noisy outlet for the aircon for the whole hotel was right outside our window. We couldn’t get to sleep. Plus the lies on the hotel’s own website about an on-site cafe open from 7:30 where we expected to get breakfast .., IT WAS SHUT! There is no-where to get breakfast!!!"

"We use this hotel fairly frequently as we visit family. The rooms and amenities are good. The bar/ lounge area lacks warmth and character but the food is good ‘pub food’ quality. "

Sir Thomas Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is probably the best 3 star hotel i have ever stayed in! The lication was grwat. 8 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from the town centre, 14 minutes from the museums and Albert Dock. ( we are early 60s so dontvwalk quickly). The hotel bar and redeption are wel, decorated andvthe staff very accomodating.
There was a lift to all floors so it doesn't matter which floor you are on. It is on a main bus route and busy road but the noise is minimal ( we stayed Wednesday and Thursday nights). There was no noise after 11pm.
We booked bed and breakfast, the food was very good. A fantastic selection of pastries, muffins, cereal, fruit and yoghurt alongside the full English breakfast. All of the items we tried were cooked to perfection and good quality. All food was topped up regularly and staff were attentive.
We would definitely stay again."
"Love this hotel, my favourite, we have a wonderful sea view, lots of space in our room, quiet hotel, nice bar area and good entertainment. Comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast in a lovely dining room, brought my friends here and they loved the victorian feel and its grandeur. Good staff too. Keep up the good work imperial "
"Great stay. Only thing to point out is that parking is not free it is £10 for 24 hours and you will need to pay each tome you leave the premises. 1st hour is free. Also expect a tourist charge of £2.40per day on top of your bill. Really nice breakfast included so many choices of breakfast foods. Also there was snacks left in the room with no clear information on whether they were free. No price list so we didnt touch anything."
"This is an extraordinary place to stay in the vibrant city of Liverpool. It stands out as the finest hotel I have ever experienced. The staff is incredibly attentive, always ready to cater to your needs with a warm smile. The rooms are immaculate, boasting stylish decor and every comfort imaginable, creating a serene atmosphere for relaxation. To top it off, the spa is simply sublime, offering a perfect retreat to unwind and rejuvenate. Every moment spent here feels like a delightful escape! Nothing is too much for the staff, they are so helpful and accomodating and always with a warm smile. "Found this hotel very welcoming , lovely friendly staff, comfortable room, lovely buffet breakfast, great location right next to lime street station so you can expect a little noise, would certainly book again "
"Room was lovely and bright ,needs a bit of updating regarding flooring and some of the wallpaper . Bed was really comfy and looked clean slept well, considering it’s used for stag and Hen stay was quite . Breakfast was really nice thank you for really pork sausages and the staff really friendly ."
"We had a very good welcome and the rooms were a very good size. Beds are very comfy. They staff was very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The food we ate there was very nice. The location is not far from the shops and the tower. Would recommend it, plus I would go back there. "
"1st time in Liverpool & loved this hotel which was recommended by friends. Would definitely use & recommend Hard days night as it is in an excellent location for the whole of the city amenities "
"Really great location for the city centre and night life. 15 minutes walk from the train station which was a really nice walk. River side hotel with lovely views. Definitely recommend "
"We had a fabulous weekend, the room was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was utterly amazing, hot food absolutely delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. There's a few marks and scuffs around the place but for what you pay it's incredible value for money. We will absolutely be returning! Only negative for me was there was only a bath, not ideal for washing your hair. A quick trip to Sainsbury for a jug solved that problem."
"Room was spacious and comfortable. I did not use the bar or restaurant on this visit but the hotel had a very relaxed laidback feel and I would definitely stay again. "
"Staff were brilliant, very professional, polite and helpful all staff had a smile and would always acknowledge you. All needs catered for. We had one issue but was rectified straight away. We will defiantly be coming back."
"Prior to checking in, the resident hotel offered an upgrade option, which I took advantage of due to the amazing price. I am so thankful for the upgrade as it gave my party of three ample space to share one room with essentially two sections and two separate beds. My family and I felt very safe as there was additional security past a certain time at night which required all patrons show their room keys and verify their names. I would stay here again on my next trip to Liverpool and I highly recommend this hotel."
"Place was very clean and had to contact staff as i was unsure how to confirm booking ect max the guy on the phone was veey helpful and understanding perfect customer service "
"Stayed here one night for a University Open Day visit. It was convenient, comfortable and the staff were friendly, helpful, caring and even helped with a minor bit of first aid. They were great advocates for the hotel and Liverpool. Lovely breakfast and an easy walk to the University after a good comfortable night’s sleep."
"Nice hotel, easy check-in and easy access to the beaches and other attraction areas with bus and tram, which the kids love, and a good environment to stay for a large family. This hotel felt like a natural home away from home. We were so impressed with the level of comfort and attention to detail. Our stay was perfect."
"Internet was spotty, rooms look brand new but small, very clean, daily cleaning, not happy about having to pay £10 per dsy for parking at the hotel the cost should be in with the price of your stay and apparently because i booked through holiday. Com or any other 3rd party hotel charges £50 per night upto a maximum of £150, for damages which is ring fenced and returned when you leave, i don't know how many days it takes to appear back in my account, which actually put a damper on my break as i was relying on that money. Booking through booking. Com wasn't the problem but i never saw anything when booking regarding car parking charges or damage charges. "
