"Hotel is clean and large rooms. Restaurant and bars are amazing. Sadly room was let down by only having 2 plug sockets and the shower cubicle was a ting quarter circle shape with no water pressure coming from the shower. Other than that we had a great stay. "

"All good except chaotic breakfast as not enough staff - those there tried to help but were obviously stressed as couldn’t get food out of kitchen to feed everyone - guests fighting over food so we sat back and waited an hour to be fed"

The cottage is situated on the site of a wedding venue but it is far enough away to not be disturbed or us not to infringe on the wedding celebrations taking place. "Fantastic location to Edinburgh Airport…just a short 5 min walk along a paved path to terminal. Opposite car rental return, so ideal. Room was exceptionally quiet. Good food selection at breakfast but a more limited dinner option. Buses to city centre from terminal. "
"The pool is very large and extremely well kept. Lane swimming, clean, sauna, steam room. Fantastic and surprising because it is so large. This is 300 ish yards from the tram to the City and 500 yards from the terminal. Not a problem for able bodied adults with manageable location. Good breakfast. Good place to stay when arriving or leaving the City. Very easy to get into the City on the tram. "

"We walked to hotel from Waverley Rail station was 30 min walk. Get a taxi if got cases and bags. Lovely walk otherwise to Princes street.
Can walk to town centre by side of river through Leith Gardens. Lovely walk.

Staff were very friendly and on hand for any questions or replenishment of room stuff. Didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that but smelt lovely when walking through main lobby.
Would recommend this hotel, if able to walk okay but if unsteady on feet you would need to get a taxi ( plenty about) as hotel is down a very steep curvy road from main road to hotel at side of river. "
