"Had an amazing experience. The view to Arenal Volcano is spectacular + the relaxing sound of water falls/hot springs is mesmerizing. Hotel staff very professional. overall had a great experience, worth to come back. "
"Casa Del Rio was a very unique and amazing hotel. We almost felt like we were the only guests staying there because the service was so superb. I have already told many people about our stay here and will be sure to tell others. It was amazing!! I highly recommend!"
"This was great for a nice little getaway. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I also loved the walking trial on the property. Great experience staying here."
"This was an incredible stay! We stayed three nights in one of the cabins which was spacious, clean and cozily furnished.
The view of the Arenal Volcano is spectacular, breakfast is delicious and many restaurants are close by.
The staff members were attentive and super helpful."
"Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Cabanas Rio Escondido. The property is beautiful, and the pools were nice for relaxing in after a day exploring La Fortuna. Our family apartment had two balconies - one in front and one in back facing the river. Check-in and check out were easy, and we appreciated the recommendations for transportation and restaurants. "
"The breakfast dining was great with a calm, peaceful location right on the water. We enjoyed searching for frogs in the pond area. Very convenient to walk into town. "
"Property was not downtown but still walkable to restaurants. Nice pool area and they actually had HOT hot tubs! The other places we went didn’t. So we were happy to sit in a hot one in the evenings.
Clean and nice rooms. We were in building two with a perfectly clear view of the volcano!
Bar upstairs was nice. Buffet breakfast was great, especially the omelette station for my son! Great place to stay in La Fortuna!"
"We had a wonderful stay at Suwa Villa. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was thoughtfully designed and more spacious than it looks in the photographs. We would absolutely stay there again. "
"I recently stayed at Brisas and can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and right at home. The view of nature on the property
was unbelievable! I stayed in the newest building C7, and it was absolutely beautiful– the highlight being the new front and rear patio with a nice hammock where I spent peaceful moments soaking in the surrounding nature and view of the Volcano. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or relax in the evening while listening to the sounds of the jungle.
The owner is one of the warmest and most genuine people I’ve ever met while traveling. He personally greeted us, shared local tips, and made sure we had everything we needed – he truly treats you like family.
The front desk staff were equally fantastic – always helpful, kind and attentive. Whether we needed tour recommendations or had questions about the area, they were ready with a smile and great advice.
And let’s talk about the breakfast – it was delicious, freshly prepared, and served in a lovely open-air area where you can watch colorful birds nearby while you eat. A perfect way to start each day in paradise.
If you're visiting La Fortuna, Brisas is your best option. It combines comfort, hospitality, and the beauty of Costa Rica in the best possible way. I immediately extended my stay by 3 days as soon as I saw my room!
Special shout out to the property pups, Roxie, Molly, Sammy and Cookie for being great company during our stay. -Golfiteño"
"Our stay at Bauma was fantastic! The staff were very helpful, parking lot was paved, jacuzzi was a good size & the bathroom plus shower were very spacious. It is closer to La Fortuna waterfall and a short drive into the downtown area. There is a small market down the street as well. We would definitely return back to stay here! "
"Sandro was amazing! It was beautiful and tranquil! We got a. Couple massage at the spa and it was definitely the best deep tissue massage I have ever had! Thank you"
"El lugar muy cerca de todo y céntrico. Personal amable y lugar limpio. Nada más ponerle atención al tema del parqueo, no hay. Por lo cual hay que estar lidiando con parqueos externos incurriendo en otros gastos. "
"Lots of wildlife and trails on property. Close enough to everything but far enough that it’s quiet. Staff super friendly and having food available with their restaurant was a big plus. I’d stay here again if ever back in La Fortuna. "
"Amazing stay from start to finish, upon check in Brain at the front desk went above and beyond to show us to our room and around the property. The hot springs were amazing after a long day of activities in town. We were able to see sloths and monkeys while at the property which was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here.
