"Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) This was our first time visiting the Fort Walton/Destin area, and we booked our stay through Expedia. Honestly, I don’t understand why this hotel has a low rating—our experience was nothing short of wonderful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There’s a nice outdoor pool and even a pizza restaurant right next door, which was super convenient. One of our favorite features was the small private beach with a dock, beach chairs, and picnic tables. Every evening, we brought our dinner back to the hotel and had a relaxing picnic on the beach while watching the sunset over the water. Our kids absolutely loved it—they said it was their favorite part of the trip! After dinner, they enjoyed playing in the sand and water while we relaxed. Breakfast was decent, and I want to give a special shoutout to the tall gentleman with glasses (Boris)—he was always helpful and attentive. Christy at the front desk was phenomenal and went out of her way to help us with our late check-in. The new manager (Handon) was just as great during our checkout. Honestly, the entire new staff was incredible—welcoming, friendly, and clearly committed to making our stay enjoyable. We’re a family of five, and we genuinely appreciated the warm and family-friendly atmosphere. This review is based on our real experience, not just a one-off opinion—and I hope it helps others see the value this place offers."

"The hotel was in a great location on the beach. There was sufficient parking in a well lit lot. Booking and check-in was easy. The room was in a great area and was clean and comfortable with the beautiful view we asked for. Housekeeping was accommodating. Some of the amentities we used included beach access, hot tub, two swimming pools, two onsite restaurants, exercise room, and an arcade. The pool was closed early due to lightening and then did not reopen for the rest of the night even though the pool at a neighboring hotel was open for hours later. The restaurant food was good, mostly bar food and burgers and fries for dinner and then a large selection and big servings of breakfast foods. Drinks and snacks are also sold at the front desk. Check-out was easy."

"Absolutely love the staff, they saved my vacation. Went to stay at Destin Village Inn and it was horrible. Things wrong with the room, roaches everything you don't want. I called the Hampton to see if they were able to do an early check-in after explaining happened at the Inn. They were quick to get me taken care of. The beds were comfortable, room was clean, and the short walk to the beach was amazing. Cant thank then enough for saving what might be the laat vacation ill evee have with my mom to the beach!"
