Great walking/bike trail, convenient public transit, lots of shopping and restaurants. Armenian American Museum is fabulous, everything from 8th century BC artifacts to history and contemporary art, much more affordable and less crowded than MFA.

Good
There was a small grocery store within walking distance which made getting food a little easier. If someone wished to walk around there are many shops and small restaurants in the area, also.

Excellent
There's nice pizza and casual dining across the street as well as Target and a nice river walk.
"This was one of our best stays by far on our 30 day road trip in July. Our room was beautiful overlooking the Boston Harbor which was a romantic view at night. We deeply appreciated the convenience of the high-tech set up allowing us to control everything on an iPad. That was a unique experience and one I wish all hotels utilized. The bathtub is a great soaking tub with a TV on the wall and there’s even a place to rest your arms. The shower was nice too. The room was a large size compared to most hotel rooms. "
"Pros: the staff were great, always so helpful. FREE bottled water and a variety of snacks in room, plus iced tea, lemonade, and popcorn in the lobby. Housekeeping was excellent. I stayed several days and my room was immaculate each afternoon when I returned from sightseeing. One cute touch - they change the rugs in the elevator by time of day- good morning/afternoon/evening.
Cons: the carpets/furnishings have seen better days. Some look worn/stained. The bed was too soft for my liking, but might work for others.
Overall, I would definitely stay there again. It may not be the prettiest, but everything else is top notch!"
"Right in the heart of Boston and convenient to Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail and so much more. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room had a wonderful view, was spacious and very comfortable."
"The only issue I had was they hit us with an amenity fee. Maybe I missed that part when I made the reservation but still I don’t like that just charge everything up front so i know what I’m paying."
"The hotel was perfect. The location is ideal, it's very clean and updated and the gym was amazing. It had plenty of cardio equipment, a Smith machine, pulleys and lots of free weights. If you like to workout while you travel this is the hotel for you."
"Stayed for the 2nd time for a Fenway concert in July. It's nice and dark and quiet to sleep in and a noontime checkout! It is very clean and convenient location to get to Fenway via Uber."
"Fab stay at CitizenM Boston Back Bay.
Amazing welcome and great room concept which worked well for us (a couple) for a few nights. Loved the light bright rooms and the huge window with some great views over the city. The housekeeping was also great while we were there.
Enjoyed the social lounges and outside terraces as well.
Location worked well for us, would use again and would also look at CitizenM options in other cities in the future."
"Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were so friendly. Subway station is right outside the main entrance of the hotel! Would definitely stay again. The rooftop pool was really busy so if you are hoping to get a lounger would recommend going up early. "
"The hotel is great. Dulce was very helpful to guests and her colleagues. The location however is not ideal with drug addicts lingering around, but the hotel has stepped up security and there were always security guards around. "
"Great hotel in a convenient location! We stayed here while visiting colleges in the area. Although maps estimated a 15-minute drive into Boston, it actually took closer to 30 minutes using Lyft. The hotel was clean, reasonably priced, and offered paid parking. While the on-site bar is permanently closed, there’s a great tavern just five minutes away across the bridge."
