"We selected this property because of the free shuttle from the airport (you do have to call them, but it was quick). Only downside really was the area surrounding the hotel was pretty rundown. We walked to the nearby Denny's (which was great), but was uncomfortable with local homeless."

I was pleased with the quiet and safe feeling. There is no riff raff at all. It's not a high end luxury or renovated to any degree but for the price, it's well worth it. It's a nice area for the most part, but if you try walking anywhere be aware for some reason side walks will just randomly stop and pick up again. Very strange set up and led to some wet shoes!

"My wife and I traveled to Houston for medical appointments. The bed was very nice, the hotel shuttle was on time and very helpful for getting around the area. The staff was excellent!"
"Friendly staffs. Service was great. All the staffs were happy to helped us or answered any questions. Breakfast was fantastic. Made to order pancake and omelette. There’s waffle station but I didn’t try it. Buffets choice of home fried potatoes, bacons, turkey sausages, pork sausages, very moist, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. Our room was clean and spacious. The suites included TVs in both living room and bedroom, microwave, coffee maker, fridge (it was too cold that it froze our water and salad and there’s no way to control the temperature), couch, small dining table. Our stay was comfortable. It was easy to get to from airport. We took Uber, about 30 minutes away. We chose the embassy because our daughter has to compete at George Brown convention center and it’s about 6 minutes walk through the park. Great restaurants surrounding the area. We tried the Grotto and Pappadeaux. Both were delicious. "

"I enjoyed my stay at the Chifley Houston. It was conveniently located to every activity my friend and I participated in, which was within 10 minutes. The maximum was about 20 minutes with traffic. Thereare plenty of food options, and conveniences. It was walkable for quick trips. Available transportation for lyfts/ubers didn't take long. The property has a bar/restaurant that is good. Happy hour is available on the weekends as well. The hotel staff was courteous and always spoke; even gave recommendations for our visit. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Houston."
