"Great facilities and close to the beach"

"We stayed at Iberostar Lagos in late July with our extended family — 8 of us, including grandparents, kids (ages 7 and 9), and adults with different dietary needs — and it exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable: right above Meia Praia, with stunning ocean views and easy beach access. You’re close enough to enjoy the energy of Lagos town (just a 5–10 minute drive) but far enough to feel relaxed and quiet. Rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. Loved the water stations all throughout the hotel. The staff was absolutely fantastic!!! Carolina, the manager, was always available and helped us with restaurant recommendations and planning our day. Top notch! Ismael and Anna were excellent from the check in process to any questions we had in between. Paulo and the entire bar staffed attended all our drink needs and were very friendly. The kids loved the kids club and the staff there (2 lovely ladies). Breakfast buffet in the morning was lovely. Shalini at the egg station was extremely nice and a great chef. Service was friendly, and the hotel had a mellow, unpretentious vibe. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were clean and not too crowded, and our kids loved taking a quick dip in the mornings. Iberostar Lagos hits the mark. Would definitely return!"

"We stayed in one of the apartments, was absolutely gorgeous, very spacious ! The location wasn’t great, travelling about 20minutes to get to anything however it was quiet and peaceful! If you are a formula 1 NASCAR fan you will absolutely love everything about this place. I don’t recommend eating on site, prices are high. The pool was amazing, lots of room, shade coverage and chairs provided ! Lots of space to play lawn games! "

"This was an amazing property with gorge on views, beautiful facilities and great service. The room was huge and had a large terrace overlooking the ocean. The hotel food and beverage was solid, room service prompt and friendly, and the breakfast had many choices. We would definitely visit again!"

"Great staff and the main pool was the main attraction. We were a group of 20 people staying in a mix of 2 bed apartments. All the rooms were good, clean and had everything you needed. We didnt need to fight for loungera in the morning but most people were quite quick to place towels. Some of the pool area had tiles that could do we replacing and some of the bridges needed attention. The Cool Bar by the pool was great for drinks, ice creams etc. The breakfast was always good, attentive staff. They offered various eggs too but no sign to say that so found out by seeing other peoples food. The nearby town of Carvoiero was great to visit too. Easy to get around in cabs and Ubers."

"I loved chilled place. Very clean mobile home with AC in the living room. bedrooms a bit too small but manageable for short stay. stay with a car to make sure you can move around freely. Location great for local beaches and attractions. The gym wasn't open so need to update the website."

"Just an outstanding property. Apartment was extremely spacious and very clean. Weirdly, we stayed in a 2 bed apartment last year which had a washing machine but our 3 bed this year did not (!). Location is perfect. A short 5 minute walk to the supermarket and 5-10 minute walk to the marina and old town which has lots of shops and restaurants. I’d like to specifically mention Amy at the pool bar who was genuinely brilliant throughout our stay. She was so helpful with regards to restaurant recommendations and was such a lovely person to deal with throughout our stay. Overall, Marina Club is just outstanding, we are really looking forward to our next stay. Highly, highly recommended."

"I wasn’t sure what to expect when booking Vale da Lapa Village, but it completely blew me away. The property is stunning, the villa was spacious and comfortable, and the service was warm and welcoming. Andre checked us in and provided all the details we needed to enjoy our stay. We booked the half-board option, not realizing it included both breakfast and dinner—what an amazing surprise! The food was delicious, and while service at the restaurant was on the slower side (possibly cultural differences), the staff was always friendly. We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom villa, and it was perfect for our family of four—plenty of room to spread out. I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the property itself. The grounds were beautifully maintained, though I’d love to see some additional pathways through the center of the resort to make getting around easier. The beds were quite firm, which didn’t bother me but might not be for everyone. On our last day, we noticed a few ants around the kitchen sink—possibly due to pouring soda down the drain—but overall, the villa was very clean and well-kept. The metal shutters on all windows and patio doors were unexpected but seemed to help with security, light, and sound. A car or Uber is definitely needed to get around, but the peaceful setting made it all worth it. Out of the three places we stayed during our trip, this was hands-down the favorite for our whole family."

"The scenes are brilliant and I'd recommend the hotel for any big racing fan. The staff were very welcoming and the staffs at the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Not related to the hotel is the location being situated 'far' from major urban areas with relatively difficult connectivity transport wise. Many Uber riders would refuse to accept a lift and some would offer their own terms if they were to accept a ride. "
