"This was my favorite hotel out of our entire trip. The room was comfortable, I LOVED the pajamas that were provided as well as the complimentary bath and beauty products. The service was SO friendly and attentive. The location was a short walk to one of the most beautiful temples I have ever seen and a variety of shops and places to get wonderful meals and treats. If you love coffee, I highly recommend going to Verve coffee- just a short walk away- to try their Valencia latte or pour overs. Kua’aina burger and the neighboring Hawaiian donut shop were also fantastic. Across the street from the hotel is a nice grocery store where you can try a variety of Japanese products and traditional foods. Kamakura as a destination is absolutely gorgeous and was my favorite destination in our trip. Enoshima is a short trip away and also incredible. Hotel Metropolitan is a perfect location to explore the whole area. Highly recommend!"
"I very much love their hello kitty room!!! The room is as great as it is in photos!!! We had a great time :) would definitely book this again if we visit Japan again! "
"I loved this facility; rooms were modernized with decent shower and bath tub stalls, and breakfast buffet was simply great. My only complaint would be access to Yokohama station due to hectic travel; however, i've seen ongoing constructions, so there will be more improvements for sure."
"Hotel located close and walkable distance to the cruise terminal . (10 min walk ) . Clean and comfortable. Staff was great and helped me with some documents that needed to be print . Breakfast on site and there is a 7 eleven close to it . Chinatown 5 min walk . Will recommend!"
"Had many amenities in the lobby like coffee, single use toiletries, and towels. Check in/check out was very quick and easy with kiosk with staff ready to help.
Two restaurants in the building with many more nearby.
Great value!"
"This property is conveniently located for the types of things we like to do. It's also close to many transportation options as well as some shopping. The hotel has a nice feel but wish it had an onsen and not just a swimming pool."
"As someone who holds the original Kahala in Honolulu in the highest regard, my expectations for its Yokohama counterpart were, to put it mildly, astronomical. I am thrilled to report that The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama not only met but soared beyond them, creating an experience that is both a worthy successor to the Hawaiian legend and a uniquely Japanese masterpiece.
The hotel itself is an architectural triumph, offering breathtaking views over the Minato Mirai waterfront. The service is, of course, flawless—a seamless blend of Hawaiian warmth and Japanese omotenashi, where every need is anticipated with quiet discretion and a genuine smile.
But let us speak of the mornings, for this is where The Kahala truly cements its legendary status. The breakfast buffet is not merely a meal; it is a sprawling, immaculately curated culinary event. The selection is vast yet refined, avoiding the chaotic excess of lesser establishments. Each station, from the glistening towers of tropical fruits and freshly squeezed juices to the artisan viennoiserie that would be at home on any Parisian high street, showcases ingredients of the highest possible quality. The Japanese section, in particular, is a delight of delicate, flavorful treasures.
However, the true masterstroke is the in-room dining breakfast menu. "
"Short walk from Yokohama station.
The convenience store downstairs was very usedul. My daughter loved public bath in B1.
Overall we enjoyed 2 night stay in Hotel Plum very much. Reasonable yet it has everything we need. "
"Loved the hotel , the breakfast buffet was always amazing and it was in a non tourist neighborhood which was nice .
Only down fall was you needed to take a train a hour to two hours to go to the tourist spots , but that isn’t their fault , clearly you can book hotels closer to those spots !
The staff was always kind and did their best with the language barrier between us . Would stay again ! "
