"The staff were very friendly, they provided a sack lunch for my day trip to Machu Picchu, and the breakfast had great options (and coca leaves for my water bottle, for the remainder of my trip). Loved seeing the stars, moon, and mountains from the rooftop terrace at night, with the low light pollution. "

"The hotel is gorgeous. They were very welcoming and scheduled a taxi for our pick up. They also arranged for our pick up to the train to go to Macchu Picchu and prepared a box for us to take to have breakfast since our train left before breakfast opened for the day. The hotel is a little understaffed and but you could tell everyone in the hotel helped each other out and were very helpful. I would stay here again. "

"Very friendly and service minded staff. I needed to bath my foot every day and they willingly found a bucket and brought boiling water to the room every night. The hotel is generally a bit cold. However, it did have hot water in the shower, which has not been a given at the hotels we have stayed at in Peru.
The kitchen chef was also very nice and prepared freshly cut fruit for us upon her own suggestion.

"My only complaint was that the shower head had a lot of excessive spray that went all over the bathroom. The beds were comfy, the location is convenient and the staff was helpful."

"We stayed for only one night, but it was very decent. The front staff was great. The room was adjacent to the restaurant they have, but for us it did not affect much because of our late check in and early check out. "

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff really care and treat you like family. Our flight arrived in the morning and they let us check in early. They let us keep our luggage at the hotel while we trekked to Machu Picchu and made sure we had breakfast to go before we left. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Felt safe as the main doors are always locked "
"The Sanctuary Lodge is a gem in the entrance of Machu Picchu. Every staff member we met was exceptionally warm, treating us like their family. We were especially impressed by Juan Manuel, Wilmar, Alexander, and Zaraí. Additionally, incredible demonstrations of Peruvian culture by Karen and Gabriel. We really felt taken care of here. Not only was the attention by staff excellent, but the space is beautiful with an incredible garden, lovely rooms, and the food was unbelievable (notable mention to Chef Daniel).
We cannot recommend this hotel and its people more!"
"We had an excellent stay at Rumi Wasi. In particular, Manuel Amaut was outstanding, and his English language skills were super helpful! Upon arrival, Manuel provided wise counsel about acclimating to the altitude, which was spot on. Later, our son had to go to the hospital for what was diagnosed as a bruised rib, and Manuel made all the arrangements, including coordination with the hospital to ensure a short wait and an English-language doctor. Rumi Wasi was a charming, quiet and a super comfortable lodging!"
"Everything has been great and the hotel is in good condition
However no free drink was offered unless we ate in the hotel which is different to everywhere we have stayed"
"Lovely quiet hotel but just 10-minute walk from central plaza (steeply uphill) in a district of restaurants and tourist shops and Inca sites (San Blas). Our room is comfortable and well sized with large king bed. The rooms can be chilly at this altitude but there is auxiliary heating, warm bed covers, and consistent hot water in the shower. The hotel provides bottled water and hot tea, and the breakfast spread is great: muesli and cereals; fresh fruit; yoghurt, etc.; bread options; cooked fare, and choice of egg preparation; and decent coffee, etc. "
"Ideally situated near the Plaza de Armas—close enough for easy access, yet far enough to escape the noisy nightlife! Excellent restaurants are just a one- to two-minute walk away, and the hotel’s own breakfast is not to be missed, offering a varied and well-presented selection."
"We travelled as a family and my daughter had a stomach issue from another city. The hotel service was very accommodating. I felt very special and welcome. I would recommend this hotel 100%. I will come back!!"
"The location is convenient for walking around town. Plenty of restaurants and stores for shopping. Staff were excellent and always help with your luggage. We developed altitude sickness but the hotel had oxygen and an on-call doctor if needed. The breakfast is open 3a-10a. So many options, especially native foods. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel!!"
"Wonderful staff, breakfast, rooms, and location. Great value and would definitely stay again. The location is hard to beat. Short walk to Plaza Mayor and the market. Cusco is incredible and must be experienced at least once!"
"Breakfast is one of the best in Cusco. Also food in cafe is surprisingly great and cheap. Room in 3rd floor had remodeled bathroom. Clean and nice. Will definitely stay here again. "
"The staff was FANTASTIC! There was always someone at the lobby, 24/7 and everyone was always smiling and willing to help.
The rooms were clean, the beds were cozy and warm (with an extra blanket!), the wifi was quite good, although there were moments it wasn’t loading. The hotel was very well located! It was near the main square and many restaurants.
The breakfast was quite complete, I just wish there had been a few more gluten free options, but there were a few good options to pick from:)
Also the staff packed us a breakfast for when our excursion left at 4am, which was so kind of them!
I unfortunately suffered from altitude sickness and the staff was very understanding and helpful, they instantly called over a doctor and when I was sick again the next day, they provided an oxygen tank. I am really appreciative of their help and kindness:)
Overall, the staff is what makes Taypikala so wonderful:) "
"Nuestra estancia fue simplemente ESPECTACULAR!!!
Desde la misma noche en que llegamos sentimos la pasión y entrega de todo su personal.
Un hotel verdaderamente bello, localizado en un punto estratégico del pueblo.
La limpieza y organización destacan como cualidades dignas de admirar.
Gracias a TODOS por hacer de nuestra visita un recuerdo inolvidable.

"Amazing location, close to all the main tourist attractions! The hotel was spotless, elegant, and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, and every detail made our stay feel special. Perfect for anyone wanting comfort and convenience in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended"
"The property is close to the main plaza which can easily be reached with a 5 min walk. Rooms are simple but clean and nice-European style. Staff was very helpful and friendly throughout the entire visit. Beds were nice but very firm-if you like soft beds you may want a different style hotel. But I found them to be comfortable. WiFi is accessible throughout the property and reliable. "
