"The room was spacious (family of 4 with 2 teenagers) and clean. The beds were big but a tiny bit hard. The breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive choices both Japanese and enough western food options for our picky family :). I enjoyed the Onsen a few times and the location was perfect, just a 3 minute walk from Gora Station with direct access to the Hokane-Tozan railway and Cable Car (to ropeway). I would recommend this to all my friends visiting this area in the future. "

"We are from Los Angeles and are here for a family get away with our 7 year old. It has truly been an amazing experience!! All staff whom I have interacted with (from check in, dining, museum, and the simulation experience) provide exceptional service! Most staff speak good English. Room is spacious and super comfortable. I appreciate their attention to details and thoughtfulness! They even went above and beyond in getting a pair of super cute small crocs (for the onsen experience) and kid's toothbrush for my 7 year old! Doesn’t have a lot of food choices onsite (if you don't have a car with you). Our family tried the Robata Oyama restaurant (Japanese cuisine) and are pleasantly surprised! Good quality is very good. Overall- exceptional experience and would highly recommend!"

"We loved our stay at The Gran Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko. We arrived late at night and they were very helpful with check-in and once we realized I had left a cellphone behind in the taxi they were very quick to help us find it and contact the taxi company. They even waited outside (insisted even) to get my phone, after they saw me waiting for the taxi driver to return. The beds were comfortable and we had an incredible view of the mountain from our window, so beautiful in the morning and an affordable stay at that so we were incredibly grateful for that. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast had both continental and traditional options (e.g., miso soup, milk pudding, tabletop grill to grill fish, fruits, etc.)"

It is removed from easy access to activities in the area, other than the outdoor sculpture park, which is EXTREMELY worth a visit, but it was a beautiful location to spend a peaceful break in the midst of the big cities on our itinerary. "A very thoughtful set up and breakfast is way better than how they advertised it. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Free shuttle to Kawaguchigo station but only 20 min walk if you want to do it. A 7 min walk to a grocery stores which open kind of late at 9am. Not too many restaurants around so plan accordingly. "
