"This was my 3rd stay at Soranoyu. The facility is always nice and clean and amenities and services are updated regularly so that repeated customer won’t get too tired of their services and amenities. After over 10 hour flight in tiny economy seat to sit down, coming here to take a break for mind and body make the trip more enjoyable.

"The staff are amazing and will help you with whatever you need. The rooms are relatively small, but immaculate. The breakfast is a must for a mere 1900~ yen. The bathroom is massive with a separate room just for showering and bathing. And there is a massive 3 floor, 4 block shopping mall next to it. Although most the mall does close at around 2100."

I guess this was a converted love hotel (similar to a motel in North America). So the room was insanely huge for Japanese standards, and ridiculously cheap (at the time, we paid about 7000 yen for 1 night).
If we go back to Chiba for another surfing trip, we'll definitely stay there again!"

Ours was a non-smoking room, but it had a lingering smoke odor, and the mattresses could use updating. We really enjoyed the use of the electric bikes and loved the little fishing village atmosphere. "Great property! We stayed in the 4 bed family room. It was great to have 2 toilets and the jacuzzi tub. Lots of space for our family of 4, even a large closet! Daiso, Lawson’s, and tons of eateries just down stairs. One stop away from the main Chiba station. No self laundry but we did find a place with huge machines just a 10 min walk away (or 5 min taxi). Breakfast was good but the same everyday. Will definitely stay here again. "
