If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to Shirako Beach located 2 mi (3.2 km) from central Shirako. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Tsurigasaki Surfing Beach and Katakai Beach.
"This hotel is of incredible value! We stayed here for a surfing trip at Taito beach and watching the pros at the Olympic beach nearby.
The elderly woman at the counter who checked us in, was so cute and kind.
I guess this was a converted love hotel (similar to a motel in North America). So the room was insanely huge for Japanese standards, and ridiculously cheap (at the time, we paid about 7000 yen for 1 night).
If we go back to Chiba for another surfing trip, we'll definitely stay there again!"
"Excellent customer service!
Pooja went above and beyond by helping us purchase food—we truly appreciated her kindness and assistance. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located very close to JR Chiba Station. Highly recommended!"
"Great property! We stayed in the 4 bed family room. It was great to have 2 toilets and the jacuzzi tub. Lots of space for our family of 4, even a large closet! Daiso, Lawson’s, and tons of eateries just down stairs. One stop away from the main Chiba station. No self laundry but we did find a place with huge machines just a 10 min walk away (or 5 min taxi). Breakfast was good but the same everyday. Will definitely stay here again. "
"I would live here!!!
I had such a relaxing stay. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, appreciative.
I love them so much!!!
Can’t wait to come back!!"
"Excellent staff. Great value. Tasty comfort food breakfast that differs each day. Decently large bedroom & bed with plentiful outlets. Inexpensive laundry on 1F."
"Really cool spot and everything was nice, however, I had to wait 4 hours to check in past the check in time. I was planning to spend more time at the beach but I could not drop my stuff off due to being unable to check in."
"The onsen was my highlight of the property. Only one hot bath and no saunas but the facility was nice and clean. Chiba is a quiet residential area, but the hotel was close to train station and plenty of restaurant options in the area."
"We liked that this hotel was close to lots of dining, drinking, shopping and a central train station that had the Narita Express Line and local trains. Our room was more spacious than the "Henn Na Tokyo" hotel we previously stayed, but the bathroom was more cramped and their mirror was placed so that you had to crouch or sit on the toilet to see your face. Their air conditioner was better at turning on and off to keep your desired temperature. They actually had humans instead of robots for their front desk staff.
One thing to note is that this place is close to a lot of girl bars and massage parlors. There were a couple of solicitors that hung out at the hotel's street corner every night. They didn't bother us, but conservative families considering this location might want to be aware of the neighborhood. Our room was on the 5th floor so we didn't hear a lot of noise.
But other than that, the location is great for shopping and for being removed from the hustle & bustle of Tokyo without it taking too long to access it within a day. "
"Stayed here for StarWars Celebration weekend and it was an awesome hotel to stay at. Super quiet, great breakfast buffet in morning and so many great amenities from Free bar area, wine, bucket of ice or water, and it was a HUGE and spacious room. Also had a mini hot tub with TV in shower room which was a cool experience. Definitely a place to stay if you’re in area with monorail nearby and train/ bus station 5 min walk away that has bus stop that’ll take you straight to airport. "
""A Perfect Place!", as one usually gets in Japan. Room a little small by USA standards, but "perect". Hotel right there at the exit from Soga train station (you can go anywhere in Japan from there. Good price, great place. Breakfast incredible!"
"Hotel was, about 12 minutes from Chiba station. Good area lots of shopping, restaurants and bars.
Checking in was straight forward. Good size room with massage chair, comfortable bed and clean. "
