We had to open the windows and turn the a/c on for a few hours before the smell was actually bearable to stay in the room. This is not good when you are allergic to scents!! No elevators and we were on the third floor, so we brought up only what we needed for the night. It was clean, quiet and our bed was comfortable. "Very happy with this find, that we booked a 2nd night. The only thing we found was that golf for non Cape Breton residents was expensive. I think that if you are staying at the hotel, golf should be the same rate as residents. Otherwise, it is a wonderful location to lay our heads from our travels as well as a good spot to call home base for a couple days. "
