"Stopped off in Laon on a trip to Switzerland. The hotel is located in the middle of town right next to the cathedral with an attractive square in front. A lovely stay with a very nice meal on the terrace in the evening. A very nice breakfast personally served.

Couldn’t park outside as it’s in a pedestrianised square overlooking the cathedral but there was a road running alongside where you could leave your car to unload your luggage. We parked in the gated secure car park which was a few minutes away. Room was small but fixtures were of a high standard and lovely view of cathedral. "

"Very decayed on the outside No air cond and no aeration ( a small grid which is a joke)which means that in summer you have to open the window And it’s very noisy outside , the hotel is badly situated near a quite busy road . I had a Small bedroom which was really small that’s ok but the problem was the bed : too short ( and I’m only 173 cm!) and the pillows were bad + a very hard mattress. On the sunny side it’s clean enough and the staff are incredibly nice and they really try their best but...

It was amazing , the bed was so comfortable and the ambiance of the house was delightful, our host was excellent and went out of his way to look after us , giving us an early breakfast so we could get an early train . "Love this place, can't get enough of it. Came with my daughter on way to the Alps. Perfect location. Every time I stay here I get wonderful treatment from all the staff. The spa area is beautiful and so relaxing after a long journey. Dinner amazing as usual and to top it all we were yet again upgraded !! Roll on next trip."

"Excellent location in Laon. Husband and wife staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. We'd hoped to dine on site for our evening meal. Their restaurant was closed and they found us an alternative restaurant and made a dinner reservation for us. I was recovering from a cold and the owner prepared me a hot lemon honey and ginger drink to have before I went to bed. Even made me one the following morning. To some the hotel may feel dated, but out group of 8 loved the sense of history the hotel had. The building has heritage status and should I ever find myself back in Laon, I would definitely stay here again. "
"The hotel is extremely well located within the historic centre of Laon. We have stayed there on four separate occasions as we travel through France to or from the Channel Tunnel. The hotel itself is full of historic interest with a somewhat quirky charm. There is ample free parking within easy walking distance and a good choice of restaurants all within a hundred yards of the hotel door. We will be returning there soon."
