Walking distance to several restaurants including the Idle Hour (a wine tasting place with the best charcuterie board) and Heidi’s Pancake House. The pool/ hot tub area was very nice. No complaints!"
"I was there for the WSB Convention at Golden 1 and I Loved my stay. The staff was absolutely the most welcoming and helpful group of people from check in to check-out and beyond. The location was literally steps from where I needed to be during the event. I I loved receiving text msgs informing me of the hotel’s activities and events. The only and I do mean only thing I wish was better was the bed mattress. It was way too firm and I like a firm mattress, but this one was very uncomfortable. "Overall experience was very good. Near lake tahoe I dont think there are very modern facilities in CA side. This is an old building but the rooms are well maintained. One small tight Elevator. Parking is tight for big cars if you want shaded garage spaces. but open parking is also available. Rooms are Big and spacious. Bathrooms are clean. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. "
