"Excellent hotel, very clean and polite staff. Zicatela main beach area was only about 7 min walk. They just need better tv and internet. It never worked properly. TV was to small and had no streaming. All show had snow. So you could not warch property. We had to use our phone and our own cell wifi. "

"The property had a great ambiance. I was grateful there was a pool because it was quite warm and humid during our stay in July. The staff was amazing and the food we ate there was amazing!! Especially the coconut shrimp tacos!!! Sebastian was the bartender was excellent and made the best drinks!! I can’t wait to return!!"

"A quiet, clean and peaceful place, with a helpful staff. I came to do some writing and enjoy the beach a bit. Very well-suited for a personal retreat: could happily stay longer. There's a charming bookstore attached to the property, run by the partner of the owner."

"We had the pleasure of staying at Punta Nayaa for two nights and to say it was a little slice of Heaven is an understatement. Right from the beginning, the staff was attentive and friendly. We arrived at the hotel very early and they were happy to keep our bags for us, and let us lounge around by the pool till our room was ready, which they had us in well before the check-in time (very much appreciated). We booked the king with roof plunge pool, which was stunning to say the least. The food the hotel offered was also amazing! They have the best sourdough bread I have ever eaten. It's located in a quieter area, which was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle by the beach. The walk to town is on dirt roads for the most part, so just bring decent sandals/shoes and you shouldn't have any issues there. We also arranged the Bioluminescence lagoon tour and our transpiration to the bus station through the hotel, which was easy and convenient. I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience at this hotel. We definitely will plan to stay at this hotel again in the future, it was beautiful. "

"This is a brilliant hostel and I had a great time there. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. They were also very good at helping to get the party started. They organise events each evening at the hostel bar, and they also provide offers and recommendations for other places. Bad points: The kitchen lacks A LOT of things. E.g. it didn't have bowls or anywhere near enough cutlery for the number of guests that were staying (and this was in low season). Also, the music starts at 10am and doesn't stop till 11pm when the bar closes. The choice of music was mostly excellent, but I heard some terrible music here too (e.g. annoying fidget house music), so that is something for them to think about. Thank you to all the staff at Straw Hat. Nos vemos pronto!"
