Pub was fantastic, great atmosphere, room was beautiful, bed comfy, shower fab, check in was confusing, staff were friendly but unhelpful and some of them I just felt we were a hindrance, the exception to this was the young lady who eventually showed us to the room and the kitchen guy who took our keys, We didn’t know where the actual room was until we asked, we didn’t know if we could have/book breakfast even though there’s a breakfast menu and staff vague as to where we could actually get any in the village.. we ended up knocking on the kitchen door to give our keys back and several staff just looked at us through the door until somebody else opened it! we were able to leave our car on the Saturday night as we were staying in Cambridge which was great of them (thank you to the kitchen guy) so we thought we would have a roast there on the Sunday before setting off home, Advisable to book as we couldn’t get a table and they weren’t keen to accommodate us, we were also advised they weren’t doing roasts even though people were sitting eating them! (Worked out fine as we went the ROSE AND CROWN, also in the village, which was FANTASTIC!! and they bent over backwards to fit us in even though it was rammed) We were disappointed that the only food on Friday evening was pizza, which did look lovely but we didn’t want.. all in all and now we know what to expect We would stay again... More info/care needed on arrival and it would be perfect..
