Afton, WY

Very nice updated historical hotel. Very comfortable and conveniently close to everything we needed. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The decor was a Western outdoors theme, very well done.

Parking was not an issue. The building is very unique. Checking was flawless. Room was clean with warm shower and a big TV. Ac worked great. The night was nice so I just slept with a window open. I would recommend staying here

Historic accommodation in Afton

Enjoyed our accommodation here which was reasonably priced, comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly despite being short staffed. Would certainly stay here again,

An older hotel with small but remodled rooms. The restaurant was still closed due to remodeling.

We'll be back

First time staying here and will stay on our next adventure. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and relaxing bar. We had our 3 grandkids 11,15 and 15. Room 31 was a perfect fit with plenty of space for all with full and queen beds for all.

Colter Lodge full of grace and Charm.

The lodge is located right downtown surrounded by restaurants and retail shops. Service was very friendly and helpful. Management moved our room when is was discovered that 2 of the electrical outlets would not work. Lodge is a stately old lady w/ so much charm and character. Will stay there again.
Lynn, 2-night trip

Quaint hotel!

Wonderful staff, cozy room, and enjoyed our stay even if there was no elevator. Thought we were gunna die up two flights of stairs. Huff. Puff.

We walked in and felt like we had stepped back in time! So rustic, best food, awesome room, best live band in the bar. It was the 4th of July weekend, so there was a parade out our window and then fireworks after dark. I think this will be a yearly tradition for us!

Acceptable

We enjoyed our stay, however, there's no elevator in the building. We were on the fourth floor.
Monty, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

We made the trip from Idaho Falls just for the night to stay in a hotel with a restaurant downstairs and bar. We really enjoyed the room, super nicely decorated. We were disappointed to see the restaurant downstairs and breakfast in the morning were both closed via a note on the door (a website or booking notification would have been nice) it kind of ruined the whole purpose of the trip. We did enjoy the bar that evening after having dinner in town. Would probably try this place again since other than the closures, we enjoyed the facility.

8/10 Very good

I reserved a room with a queen bed. When I realized I was on the 4th floor with no elevator I tried to change to the 2nd floor. All rooms were booked solid, due to a regional golf championship. 5 minutes later the property called back. She actually called golf coach and switched my room to the 2nd floor. Service was above and beyond what I expected. Lobby and bar was rustic and beautiful.
Toni, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was a pretty good experience. I felt the people that I dealt with from paying the bill to the front desk were not friendly. It warned us in the communication that there were no elevators, but that was hard on us to haul luggage up those stairs.
Olivia, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Terrible stay

This place is a waste of money. Multiple floors with no elevator. No phone in the room to contact the front desks. Breakfast is not included like indicated on your site.
Scott, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

It was ok. Our room was tiny and the bathroom was falling apart. There was clearly mold growing on the ceiling, which made me uncomfortable. The AC unit was knocking and noisy. There was very limited restaurant availability and hours. Wouldn’t go back or recommend.
Amanda, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

This is a bad place to stay! Grossly over-priced for the LOW quality. My room stunk of cheap cleaning supplies (bleach??) and the AC units in both rooms were really noisy! No fridge in one room? NOT recommended!!
Bruce, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The light did not work in the water closet. So you had to poop in the dark!!
Brandi, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Building is very tired, it was dark and dingy. Carpets were very dirty.
Fiona, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Such a cute place and the staff is friendly and helpful. The suite was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Keep in mind there is no elevator so getting luggage up the stairs can be tricky. There is also no laundry on site but a coin laundry is a short drive away. The dinner buffet was great the first night and Wendy, our server, was so kind and attentive. The second night was kind of a bust as the atmosphere, food, and staff were all a bit “off”. Not sure what was going on that but we hope it was just a one off.
Dulce, 5-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Its good for families
