Awesome little cottages that were very cozy and comfortable. The property is right off the ring road but tucked in a farm with a supremely friendly dog and cliffs and a river right there. The breakfast is absolutely worth it and a lovely way to start the day.

An absolutely wonderful place surrounded by beautiful nature. There was a stunning view from the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, tidy, and had all the essentials. Our stay was enjoyable. We stayed in double room with private bathroom which was clean, comfortable, and a nice size. The breakfast each morning was very nice. The location is great especially if you like peace and quiet. Conveniently located and close to both Höfn and Jokulsarlon.

Good size room for our needs, got in late and left early and was a comfortable night sleep. On a farm so there were animal smells but not noticeable in the room itself. Some farm equipment was running by 7am. Bathroom was smaller and a little dirty but an older place so expected. Cute waterfall on the property. Good breakfast. Slept well!

Guesthouse Skálafell was a wonderful place to stay! It was a bit remote but worked for us after visiting the glacier lagoon. The land around the guesthouse was absolutely beautiful and there were hiking trails close by. Staff was fantastic and very friendly. We would absolutely return.

What an incredible location to spend the night. The mountains in the background and the ocean out front. The cabin was very clean, the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was generous with gluten free options available upon request.

My family visited in June, 2024. Expedia bungled our reservation, but the proprietor accommodated us anyway (and even tried to find us another house in the area for additional nights). We stayed in the family cabin that was clean and comfortable. We would definitely return.
