10/10 Exceptional

Lovely place to stay and a bargain to boot - indoor pool and outdoor pool open for those brave enough to take the benefits of a cold water dip in November! Car park tight but not an issue with a small car or when there are plenty of spaces...minor issue with a large car park around the corner. Will certainly stay again if in the area.

8/10 Very good

Staff were amazing! The hotel is quite dated though so the floors and walls are paper thin so can hear everything going on around your room. Luckily we didnt have anyone too loud either above or next to us so didn't disturb our sleep.

10/10 Exceptional

The staff were amazing and very helpful. Even with the rain we managed to keep the children entertain with the pool and vast bar area where they run in circles. We got luck with parking but there seems to be parking available nearby. The Land train stop was right next to the hotel which takes you all the way to Fistral beach. The location is great with two beautiful beaches within 6min to 8 mins walk.

10/10 Exceptional

We stayed for one night and found the staff were very friendly, we had a clean room and a comfy bed. My only slight disappointment was the water during a shower wasn’t overly hot. It kept changing from cold to mildly warm. Other than that, a lovely stay.

4/10 Fair

Unrealised potential, but needs updating!

We were looking forward to some stunning views but sadly our room on the 1st floor had a view into the courtyard. No possibility to fully open the WINDOWS or have a privacy without completely blocking the air. The rooms are in dyer need of air con as they were so stuffy (only 20C outside) and as the windows are chained you can barely open them. I was surprised to find out the room doesn’t have a FRIDGE. My bad, as it isn’t listed. No teabags in the room, only coffee and UHT milk NOISE! - room above seemed to consist of a heard of wildebeest that liked galavanting around at all hours. Floors are very thin and noisy and even a cup being put on the table in above floor is heard downstairs. A couple fighting above our heads until 1am and Sunday morning had people screaming in the outside pool. As much as we love birds, the constantly open windows meant Seagulls were noisy at all times, midnight, 2am, whenever! Sadly, as the BEDS were very comfortable!! For a hotel, sleep was very hard to come by. We read so much about great food in this hotel so decided to have a dinner. Pasta with mushrooms had more mushrooms than pasta. Children’s pizza was about 3” diameter, … can’t recommend. Breakfast ok PARKING - a bit tight squeeze, phew! £8/night not £5 as advertised! DOG FRIENDLY it was wonderful, thank you! STAFF - especially cleaning & breakfast staff and waiters, you were absolutely amazing!!! Thank you for being so lovely, always smiling and always very helpful ❤️

8/10 Very good

Room was fine even with the building work next door which ceased bang on 17.00 as agreed. Tight parking and chargeable even though owned by the hotel ? They only have the old fashioned card swipe service and as all my cards we’re on my phone I had to pay cash for the parking and if I wanted food or drink it would have been the Same. But can’t fault the rooms or the location, would stay again but remember to take my cards with me.
Gary, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Was an ok stay.

Room I had booked was a sea view. And although you could see some of the sea it was mostly the roof of the hotel blocking it. The room was ok, bed was comfortable, but the lock on the bathroom door was broken. The hairdryer did not work and when switched on, smoke started coming out the back of it. I tried to call reception on the desk but the phone didn’t dial through? There also wasn’t a plug socket on my side of the bed which although wasn’t a problem it may bother some.
Kimberley, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Hotel Was pleasant but do feel that it was over priced room was small and little out dated in furniture Staff were friendly
Collette, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good stay a few improvements would make it 5 star

The stay was very welcoming and the service was very kind and accommodating of us and our little dog. However, we had a huge family room and only a queen sized bed in it which didn’t really make sense. The windows were in need of a good clean outside and the bedspread had a rip in which although isn’t unclean kind of didn’t represent the hotel in the way the rest of it did. I’m aware it’s undergoing renovation so sure the rest of it will match soon. Its position is fab and easy to walk or drive around the Newquay / Cornwall area.

Une des chambres était dans un état avec des fuites sur les robinet. J’ai vraiment un Hotel déplorable.

6/10 Good

Nice bedroom, cosy bed ,bath and shower , complementary tea, coffee! Would be nice if pillows were softer ,and the safe worked . Bit annoying listening to women talking whilst swimming at 7 o'clock in the morning ,while your trying to sleep .
