Very good property which matched it’s description

2/10 Poor

No stars should be the rating. Terrible hygiene. Filthy brown water coming out of taps. Food was bad. Unsafe uncooked seafood. Stinking rotten fish. Electric sockets unsafe. TVs not working in most rooms. No action taken to rectify by staff.

8/10 Very good

We arrived after delays at 9pm after phoning ahead to let them know... the chef did fantastic plates of pasta, all the tastier for being back in the warm after a too-long journey! Bedroom was decent, if old - took a bit to warm up the room (we arrived when it was already well dark) but after that, no real complaints. Really appreciate the efforts of the staff to make our stay welcome.

Nice quiet spot in the offseason

We did one night in March, and the place was pretty empty. The location and surrounding area are fantastic. There was some maintenance work going on, but nothing that impacted us. The hotel, room and dining area all look a little dated, but that doesn’t bother us. The bed was comfy, the breakfast great, and the parking easy. We didn’t have dinner here, choosing a spot in town about five minutes away.

First, second and third impression was terrible

Had to change room three times. At the first one there was a smell that was so strong probably to cover up the smell of mold. The bed had spots and the wifi was bad. The second room was bigger but had to complain about the mold. I then felt like I was seen as difficult. The third room was ok after a thorough check, but didn't feel comfortable there after seeing mold. The restaurant was always empty. There was also wrong prices listed on hotels.com it was of course higher not cheaper. The one highlight was the chicken curry though I was worried about the coughing coming from the kitchen. I checked out a day early.

Not on the return too list!

Building is in an excellent location with a stunning view, gardens are overgrown , signage is faded rooms are sparse but clean. The building was cold and the internal reception lights were switched off, looked like it was closed.

Rundown

Room was very cold you could feel air blowing in around windows. Bathroom was so small nowhere to sit anything. Not very sound proof. Carpet needs a good cleaning. Bed was comfy and we asked for an extra pillow and they did bring us two. Very rundown building and area outside not the cleanest. Had to carry luggage up about 40steps

2/10 Poor

Worst bedroom that I have ever stayed in.

Possibly the worst hotel room that I have ever stayed in. Broken window with rain coming in. The noise from the rain was so loud that I had to have the radio on all night. The wall paper is peeling off the walls and the room smells damp. There was no plug for the sink and the cold water tap was not fixed to the basin. Just horrible and depressing. The pictures used on Hotels.com are misleading. Do not stay at this hotel.

It is in dire need of refurbishment. TV did not work, no towel rail, cold water basin tap did not work, shower very poor. Bedroom doors on strong springs, difficult to open and bang shut on closing. Disappointing as lovely location and great views.
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Upon arrival, several issues were immediately apparent: • The room and common areas were unclean, poorly maintained, and had a strong unpleasant smell. • Furniture and carpets were badly stained, and overall hygiene appeared neglected. • Electrical appliances in the room appeared either unchecked or last tested over five years ago, according to the tags. • The water from the taps was brown and discoloured, which raised serious hygiene concerns. The manager said it was because the water came from the mountains! • The taps were poorly fitted, causing leaks and poor water pressure. • The shower was nearly unusable, with extreme temperature swings between freezing cold and dangerously hot. • Additionally, the manager was rarely present at reception, and when available, was unable to provide any useful information about the local area, which made our stay more difficult. These conditions made for a very poor and unsafe experience — certainly not in line with the price paid or the hotel’s advertised standards. Had these issues been disclosed in advance, I would not have booked this property.

God udsigt men ellers slidt hotel

Attractive property, especially the dining and lounge areas. Recently acquired and will be better as renovations take place. Wi Fi could be better although strong signal can be expected in common and dining area.
