The room was beautiful, and the hotel is in a great location. We got an early check-in, always nice. Lots of restaurants in the area. Easy walk to the wharf and beach. Going the opposite direction on State St., you come to the busy area of State St. Further on down (10 min. drive), you come to lower State St. with a calmer vibe of restaurants and shops. Wish we had been able to stay longer.

Weekend in Santa Barbara

Beautiful, spacious and clean room. Hotel location is perfect -- a block to the beach and great restaurants and bars within feet of the hotel plus, plenty more to choose from by simply walking up State Street. The Goat Tree restaurant which is part of the hotel was excellent.

We spent 3 nights at hotel California. The most horrible thing is that the water is yellow due to ageing water pipe. And the front desk just explained as if it’s normal. And the solution provided was : turn on the tap for 10 mins, the colour will become light. I hope I can share the video of picture here for your reference.

Beautiful property with excellent location. The problem was not enough staff at valet and pool. We waited every day for 15-20 minutes to get our car. There was usually one guy working all the cars/ Felt bad for him as he was very apologetic and acknowledged he needed more people to help. The pool was a disappointment with all the cushions missing and only one person working the food/drink service which took about 30 minutes to get our drinks. While we enjoyed the proximity to the Funk Zone this property is way over rated and isn't worth $1000/night.

Amazing staff, beautiful property, and killer walk score. The overall decor was perfectly Santa Barbara. The rooftop pool and deck were fantastic for views.
