We stay in Rugby a couple of times a year and have always used the Travel Lodge. I am so glad that I decided to switch things up. This was probably THE most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. Staff were lovely and the room suited our needs. Rooms are clean, tidy and look quite new however, as others have mentioned, they can get quite warm, so consider this if you're someone thats gets hot at night anyway. The hallways/carpet could use modernising to improve the overall look, but this is just cosmetic. We will defintely be back here again. Xx

Recently refurbished, but not complete ... smart TVs not yet connected properly, for example.
Done up to a nice standard, but a few minor snagging and design issues.
There was quite a bit of street noise outside my room, but it was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Wonderful hotel with outstanding staff and rooms who are efficient polite and customer-focused. Point of reference: if arriving after dark, park in Asda car park as close to The Prince of Wales as possible. Walk through to the pedestrianised road and hotel is 1 min walk on right. £5 for 24hr parking payable in HOTEL!

It was great unfortunately there was no heating in the room and I couldn’t get a meal because there was a wedding reception in there

Area was quite run down. So many shops closed down. Booked in to find that i had to park in ASDA car park and pay for parking when it clearly states that the hotel has onsite parking and that its free.
Staff were ok but for a 3star hotel you would expect a uniform and some professionalism.
Property is old but nice.
They have room services and do food amd drink but we didn't sample it so cant comment.

Terrible experience.. Went for dinner same person doing everything inc cooking dinner Dinner was a joke. Not the staffs fault she was lefy to do everything it was embarrassing for her. Came to me for a lighter to light cooker! The Electric went in he night,
I had to shower and make-up in the dark could not use my hair appliance so had to go to a very important meeting disheveled, No, coffee or hot drink could have gone to the local coffee shop and taken away, the rest of the town all had electric, it was in the center of the town there was a costa 3 mins walk away.. No formal apology NOTHING! Unbelievable !

Beautiful bathroom but no heating in the bedroom, had to get an electric heater from reception, window sill crumbling away and window needs replaced, also had a power cut in the morning which meant we couldn’t shower in the newly renovated bathroom which was beautiful

Looks like it has had a recent refurbishment and the room was quite good however it was difficult to check in and even though it had a very large smart TV I could not make the cast function work. I also was not expecting an additional charge of £5 for parking

This hotel should close until the refurbishment has been completed.
Hazards everywhere.
Builder accessed my room while I was showering.
This hotel is very tired. Dog barking in the night…
Perfectly placed in what is now a run down town

Cheap, very central. Walls paper thin, broken night sleep due to noisy neighbours. Phone in room but could not be connected to wall.

Room was small but clean and ok to stay for one day, but unfortunately the bed lights weren't working. View from the window was for the very ugly and dirty roof.
Breakfast, quite expensive for what we received. The only warm option is English breakfast but they were missing mushrooms (which we were not informed before ordering), fried egg was broken and looked more like an omlet.. no coffee express, but missing option of a warm milk. There was noone available to ask a question or even talk with.

The room I assigned had a very strong smell of paint fumes that would have made me sick had I stayed. I turned on the tap in the bathroom and brown water came out. I explained this to the receptionist (who was very friendly and helpful) and asked for another room. He didn't have any so he kindly refunded my booking and found me another hotel nearby. I generally stay in budget hotels and hostels. I do not expect luxury - just basic facilities. But this is the first time I have been confronted with a room that was clearly not fit for human habitation.
