The property is in the middle of no where with very limited food option, the in house Cafe is closed on Monday. there was human hair on both beds, room 6 was very poorly equipped and lit, I specifically asked about Wifi availability and mobile signal strength as I would have to work from the room, both were awful and I had to work from the local McDonald's 15 min drive from the property. My booking was non refundable for a 3 day stay, We checked out two days earlier as I was unable to work. Extremely frustrating experience, Local staff were very friendly and did what they could had. Before arriving, calls to reception were going unanswered and a recorded message provided a mobile number to a Gentleman who was apparently was on holiday and rushed to end the call, I requested early access to the room or a lounge and he was kind enough to grant me my wish with the assurance of Internet availability that later turned out to be extremely slow and unworkable. All in all this booking turned out to be very unpleasant especially after a 5 hour drive from London overnight with a 10 year old child.
When I checked out the following morning I expressed my frustration to the pleasant young lady in the office and informed her that I will leave a detailed review of the experience that we had and although the booking was non refundable, I will be requesting a refund.
I later requested a refund which was swiftly declined with a poorly worded email from the owner which I will publish.
