Only issue was that the directions issued did not take me to the hotel! Apart from that, a great place to stay with excellent access to the port and surrounding areas. Staff at reception really helpful too.

Very nice hotel and staff. I liked the atypical decor. Room was nice and good value for money easy to get around the town and quick access to train station. Absolutely would stay again. Only complaint is would be nice to have a mini fridge in room to keep drinks.

Lovely stay

The location of the hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside was when using the card for the parking we had to go back to the hotel to hand it back after we had left. Maybe the option of a drop-off box at the parking location would be a better idea. But other than that minor issue the hotel cleanliness, location, was brilliant.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and the experience was made exceptional thanks to the outstanding service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. Special mention goes to Barbara at the reception desk. She was incredibly helpful during our check-in, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Barbara went above and beyond, providing excellent recommendations for sightseeing and helping us find all the information we needed to make the most of our visit. Her friendly and professional demeanor truly set the tone for our stay. In addition to Barbara's fantastic service, Yuri and Anton at the bar also deserve high praise. They were both incredibly welcoming and provided top-notch service throughout our time at the hotel. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness made our evenings at the bar a delightful experience. Overall, the staff at this hotel made our stay memorable with their exceptional service and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with friendly and helpful staff.

you definitively need to avoid this hotel despite a good location on La Rochelle harbour. I needed to cancel my reservation more than one month in advance, durintg the touristic season, the manager refused to refund me. It simply means they sold twice the room, there is absoluttly no problem to rent the room in June in La Rochelle. Of course they will argue it was mentionned in the sales conditions, however, I already had several times similar issues (for business purpose), I always been refunded, some times paying small penalties. I think they simply forgot what an hotel should be : service, service and ONLY service. Don't go to this place!!

Be Forewarned: A Mixed Bag

So, I don’t like to complain, but this hotel is a real mixed bag. First, the hotel is very well-situated between the train station and the old port, it’s very modern and tries hard to be chic. The design is interesting, but the open common area around which all the rooms are oriented is not as pictured. It’s now a dining area for breakfast service. That said, the design concept is an interesting touch. Secondly — and crucially — if you’re unlucky enough to be placed in one of the rooms on the 1st floor (2nd floor for Americans), you very well will have an open bathroom. “What’s that?” you ask. It means that there is no door to your bathroom. It’s situated behind a wall between the bathroom and the bedroom, but in terms of privacy, that doesn’t do much. I mean, traveling as a couple who’s been married for 13 years, it’s not a big deal, but if this is a romantic getaway — maybe your first trip together — be forewarned. You will probably be defecating in the same room you’re sleeping in. There. I said it. Forewarned is forearmed. Lastly, the hotel advertises itself as having soundproof rooms. This is simply untrue. Noise is a problem, not from the interior of the hotel, but from the outside. Sound insulation was NOT a real investment by the designers. So: very friendly and helpful staff and an interesting design concept, but no real soundproofing and an epic bedroom/bathroom design make La Fabrique the hotel I will NOT go back to during my next trip to La Rochelle.

The parking was the only difficulty - finding the actual car park, and organising the parking permit. Better info should have been sent via Hotels,com. Staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, and dealt with all other issues effectively.

Annonce mensongère sur le parking - Qualité limite

J'avais sélectionné cet hôtel parce qu’il était indiqué "Parking assuré". MENSONGE ! En effet les palaces de stationnement payant étaient toute occupées et la voie d'accès à l'entrée de l'hôtel fermée par des barrières et plots. La seule solution présentée par l'hôtesse d'accueil fut le Parking Vieux Port Sud à un prix exorbitant malgré le contrat avec l'hôtel. A cela s'ajoute un trajet piétonnier peu agréable avec valises et par le temps pluvieux régnant. Je note que l'hôtesse, à ce sujet du parking a purement donné l'impression de nous prendre, mon épouse et moi-même pour des "ploucs". Ce qui est passablement désobligeant pour quelqu'un qui a fait de nombreux voyages et le tour du Monde avec une multitude d'escales. Nous avons noté également le manque de pression d'eau au troisième étage, tant au lavabo que pour la douche. L'absence de ventilation ou son non fonctionnement occasionne beaucoup de buée dans une salle de bain sans fenêtre, ce qui est gênant. Il conviendrait de demander à la mairie de retirer les plots et barrières ainsi que les minables arbustes en boîte dans la rue. Cela permettrait d'accéder en voiture pour déposer les bagages à l'entrée de l'hôtel et d'aller se garer ensuite "gratuitement" à un parking dédié à la Fabrique. Cette situation et anomalie sont d'autant regrettables lorsque l'on voit l'accès au parking IBIS en face de votre hôtel. Le surcoût du parking place très mal La Fabrique sur le rapport qualité /prix. Je regrette mon choix de La Fabrique

Hotel is well located , close to centre - no parking so you will have to pay each day - our room was tiny - bed was 1 foot from toilet and shower room . Close to all restaurants and shops , big wheel etc etc

Excellent séjour!!

Hôtel extrêmement bien situé, près du vieux port de La Rochelle (attractions touristiques / restaurants / boutiques….). Lieux et chambre impeccable avec une literie confortable. L’ensemble des services proposés sont également à retenir (tarif avantageux pour le parking de la ville / bagagerie disponible….). Pour finir, des professionnels accueillant, souriant et à l’écoute. Je recommande.

Info sobre el Parking que induce a la confusión

Imposible llegar a él en coche, zona exclusivamente de vecinos con pivotes.No tiene parking aunque lo ofrece la información del Hotel, al llegar y preguntar,te ofrecen aparcar en la calle, que es imposible por la zona, o llevarlo a un parking privado externo de la zona.

Arrivée tardive sans soucis nous avons vu le velux en se disant qu’il devait y avoir un système pour occulter la lumière du jour …. Mais non donc réveil 6:30 sans pouvoir nous rendormir malheureusement. L’autre point négatif est l’absence de porte entre la salle de bain ( plus précisément les toilettes) et la chambre, sans fenêtre qu’on puisse ouvrir. Le lit était confortable. Cordialement
