The lodge was amazing - very comfortable room with access to laundry. Marina was also very helpful with suggestions for activities and hikes when our Tongariro Crossing was cancelled due to weather. We had a great time there and wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel manager was very helpful and kind. We had breakfast in the morning and he cooked it for us. It was quite delicious! This small hotel, although older is in the perfect location for hiking the mountain crossing.

I ended up staying here as a last minute switch after the Chateau closed. This lodge was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and welcoming! I would definitely stay again if I visited NZ again. The breakfast was delicious - especially the homemade bread! Also, the free laundry facilities were such a blessing!
