LA Sky Boutique is nice!!

Had a nice one night stay at the LA Sky Boutique. Simple rooms and really nice staff. The interior patio area is a nice escape from the hectic city outside.

Nice place

Its the best place to stay when you want to be near UCLA. The service was great! The room was super cold when we got in which was great. It was clean. Thank you.

I wish they had better coffee and tea in the rooms. There wasn’t enough body gel and there wasn’t any conditioner

Cute, has potential, fine for price

Property is currently undergoing ownership change, so hopefully accommodations will improve in future. Staff was very friendly, helpful and it was great that they assisted with guest parking as the spots were very tight. The room was clean, but was very 'run down'; doors on closet and bathroom didn't close, shower backed-up/drained very slowly, lots of nicks in wall, scratched furniture, damaged rods and fixtures, bed creaked with little movement. . . walls were also pretty thin and you could hear all activity upstairs and in courtyard. Overall the hotel is cute and has tremendous potential with room improvements. It was still a comfortable stay and was great for the price point being one of the more affordable options in the area.

Thie place is a gem. Its so clean, and decorated nicely. I love the little courtyard. The staff was sweet and friendly, and we had a great time staying here. Yes, it is no frills, but it's an incredible bargain. I will definitely stay here again.

6/10 Good

The front desk people were great, and the lobby area was pleasant, but the hotel left much to be desired. The soundproofing is close to zero. When the toilet flushed in another room, it was extremely loud. When people talked anywhere near the room, I could hear it. The bath amenities were minimal. There were always piles of linens and other housekeeping supplies in the commmon areas. I stayed there because I was without a car and the location was extremely convenient for my needs, but this was not a great experience.

Quiet and convenient

Sky Boutique was convenient for our two-day trip to Frieze Art Fair at Santa Monica Airport. Overall, the location is quiet and the awning over the courtyard kept the morning light out in the morning. The courtyard provided serene atmosphere I wish I was able to use more during my stay.

Everything is good except that they have limited parking space that you have to pay $20. If you’re not lucky enough to have a spot you will have to park in the street.

6/10 Good

Getting what I paid for.

Two quests were booked for the room, but there weren’t enough cups or towels for both guests. The toilet seat was loose and sliding of the toilet. No heaters in the rooms during a cold night. Walls are paper thin. Never saw the bar area being used or set up to serve. Parking was too tight and at times not available.
Tony, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The front desk guy operates professionally and is very nice as well as the housekeeping staff. That being said the place needs to me completely refurbished. There is no insulation so you are woken by people speaking at all hours. You hear every movement from the guests above if you are in a lower unit. Location is convenient. Miss matched furniture, terrible dirty, dinged and chipped pait and places they painted but it needs 2 more coats. Photos are not how the property appears.

It has nice enough rooms my shower valve was wonky but all the rooms face this Center Courtyard that for some reason they put a tent over so you're only window looks out to an indoor space it's creepy

Noisy. Poor bed. Did not enjoy my stay.

Decent room

Front desk is super nice and sweet. Room is clean. Bathroom shower is clogged and the water isn’t draining properly. We had to wait until it’s drained to be able to use the shower.

The room is poorly soundproofed. The noise from the stairs and street vehicles kept me awake at night.
Zhang, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Cute but flawed

Rooms are large and clean but there are no external facing windows so the only light into the room comes from the internal courtyard, The drapes are light blocking, there are no sheers, and the windows are clear glass so the room is either dark or you have no privacy. There is no security chain in room 208, even though it looks like there is a evidence of one in the past. As a woman travelling alone, I always like the security of a security chain in addition to the door lock.

2/10 Poor

Disappointing

Their website is nothing like the condition of the hotel. It shows a nice cocktail bar which I found out hasn’t been open since Covid. The condition of the lobby area is quite shabby. They leave a large yellow trolley with all of their linens in the sitting area all the time. They had a workout room that holds old lamps and whatever they are not using in the various rooms. Tbe rooms are very dark since the windows only open to their courtyard no outside facing windows. But the rooms were clean, bedding was adequate. Not a place I would ever consider in the future.

Evacuation Experience

I was evacuated and they still wanted to charge for parking. It wasn’t the money but the fact. A lot of hotels offered evacuation rates. It also wasn’t nearly as nice in person but it was clean and it was a bed
Danna, 3-night trip

Disappointed

My stay was disappointing. The room wasn't properly prepared, and there was no humidifier inside, so I had to go to the front desk to borrow one. Additionally, although the parking lot wasn't crowded, I was still charged an extra $20 for parking, which felt unnecessary. The room had noticeable dust, which made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. Overall, the experience didn't meet my expectations, and I will not be returning in the future. It’s clear that more attention to detail is needed for a better guest experience.
