Great location, room could be better

The hotel staff were very friendly. The highlight was the rooftop bar where we watched the sunset. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room unfortunately did not have good sound insulation and we could hear people from next door and also loud bangs whenever doors are closed.

Ana “ morning buffet “ Fatima front desk and another Venezuelan lady “ worked at the front desk with Fatima “ were professional , fun to talk to . This is my fourth time to Madeira but first time staying at this property . I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others . Very convenient, walking distance. They have a bar at the 5th floor “ you can use your welcome drink ticket there “ .

Brilliant stay with easy check-in and friendly staff, nice clean comfortable room with all amenities required, exactly as described, excellent roof terrace with superb views and cocktails by Rodrigo, good handy location for all around to visit and see, will definitely return and recommend to others.

The property is in good condition and the room, which the hotel kindly upgraded us to, was clean, spacious and bright. It was done in a minimalist design which was fine with us. However more hooks could be installed which would make it more user friendly. The breakfast was really good and the staff excellent. We definitely would stay there again. Recommended!

Great Location walking to almost everything. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Funchal.

Here’s the corrected version of your text: --- This stay was wonderful! All the staff is super friendly and takes the time to give you recommendations for sightseeing. On Halloween, they even gave us candies. The rooms are really spacious. I would enjoy having a window with more daylight, but since it’s just for the night, it’s not a big issue. The spa is really a quiet and nice place, perfect after a day of hiking. Breakfast has a good variety of products and is of good quality

The staff at Se Boutique are amazing. I was sick after eating bad mussels at a local restaurant. And the staff did everything possible to attend to my needs. The maid helped with water, the front desk provided me with food options, etc. Also, the live fado music on the upstairs terrace is not to be missed. Property and rooms clean and well maintained. And property is centrally located. Great place to stay, and if I return to Madeira, would again stay! Thank you!

Our stay was disappointing. There were an excessive number of insects in the room, including in the bed, which made it very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the bed itself was not comfortable at all. When we brought up the issue with the hotel staff, we were told that nothing could be done about the insects, which was quite frustrating. We expected a better experience and would not recommend this hotel based on our stay.

Good location, amazing staff, uncomfortable beds.

Beautiful and continent hotel! The beds were not comfortable and the air does not blow on the beds so we were very hot the two nights we stayed with the air as cold as it would go. There isn’t a way to drop luggage off at the front door so be prepared to walk a bit. The staff was so helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating!

The common areas of the hotel were very nice. I especially liked the roof top bar/music. It had gorgeous views and the live music was very nice. However, I cannot recommend this hotel as the bed was very uncomfortable. I made this comment to the staff when I left and they mentioned there are toppers available. Not sure if this would have helped.

Extremely good service from all the staff. Great location for restaurants and access to Old Funchal. There are two downsides. 1st, parking is beyond extremely challenging - as in “Good Luck Finding Parking less than 1km away.” 2nd, This is the main reason why I would not choose a place calling itself a boutique hotel. The rooms, beds, washrooms, are extremely old and uncomfortable - not what you expect a boutique hotel to be. As a recommendation, the Hotel can inprove by simple replacing all the mattresses with premium ones and simple changing everything in the room white as the current colors inside are similar to a 1970’s basement apartment. The washroom need renovations and something as simple as new comfortable toilets and modern hardware would make them incredible.

Tired hotel

Staff and location amazing. Breakfast very good. In my opinion the hotel was missing quite few touches that you now give for granted such a international TV , milk in the fridge, minibar, soap bar. A bit pretentious but quite tired and dated hotel. For the price they charge I did expect better quality.
