For the price point, this hotel is very comfortable and an excellent choice for anyone attending an event at the international Conference centre. Around the area, there are opportunities for street and fine dining, shopping malls, street food and banks. Will surely stay here again

Conveniently located in busy are close to shops, restaurants, pubs. I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially when I left my phone in an Uber. The helped me to track the uber down to retrieve my phone. I am so grateful to everyone at Urbano. When I come back to Ghana I am definitely staying here again.

My Stay in Ghana

Everyone at Urbano provided exceptional customer service. I received a warm welcome upon my arrival. Offered a glass of a traditional Ghana drink which was very tasty. My room was lovely. The shower water flow was excellent. I loved the room decor! On my return to Ghan I will definitely be staying at Urbano!

DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE! I was mis-sold a Duplex room which was meant to have 1 x Queen bed and 1 x Double Sofa bed, upon arrival the "welcome" was abrupt, rude and she could not have been less enthusiastic. The room has been changed compared to their photos online and as you can see from my photos the sofa bed is no longer there, it is literally just a sofa, which you can't sleep on. I was told to simply move the sofa cushions and sleep on the floor!! They didn't even hide the fact that the "sofa bed" wasn't a bed, because upon entering the room it didn't even have any bedding. Whilst I was offered a twin room, this room is not the same as a duplex and I would not have been granted any refund for the difference...so that'd be a no thanks. I literally checked out because there was other issues including: - Bathroom window was broken and could not be closed meaning the temperature was 35 degrees - Bedroom windows were not soundproofed and being on Oxford Street you can hear EVERYTHING so good luck if you'd like to sleep - The hotel is directly underneath the flight path of the nearby airport which was very loud due to the issue with no soundproofing The most shocking thing is that nobody, not one review so far seems to mention that this place is in the middle of a red-light district. When you leave the hotel door you'll approached by MANY prostitutes, hawkers and beggars who will follow you and demand money without taking no for an answer.

I find it little ironic that I am asked to review the hotel that booked my room to guests with extended stay and put me in another hotel. The other hotel was ok, but I booked Urbano WEEKS ago and this is where I wanted to stay. I was very excited to stay at a hotel that looked really cool and funky, and even sent few other people there that were in Accra before me. I am deeply disappointed that my reservation was booked to someone else and the hotel decided to turn me down without my choice or any prior communication. When I arrived, they just sent me off to another hotel (walking distance). Again, the other hotel (Roots) was ok, but that is NOT what I booked and where I wanted to stay.

Excellent stay - the men on reception were very calm and professional (which marked a great improvement compared to my experience at the same property a few years ago). The room was clean and comfortable , Wi-Fi was stable and the security/porters / cleaners were all nice and polite guys too. Some soft music in the reception area might be nice for the customers and staff alike.

I liked the property but they nickel and dimed me. The Expedia app has no price change from one guest to two guests. Yet if you show up with your wife, like I did, I was charged an extra $70. And after spending a week there and paying for my mini bar items, $8, a clerk ran and got me out of the airport shuttle to make sure I paid for the extra Fanta from the night before. As for the airport shuttle, I’ve never been asked to pay for one at any hotel. I was told it was free only one way. So since I took it from the airport, I had to pay $8 to get to the airport. Lastly I went 7 days without a hot shower in Rm 222 and endured a barking dog in Rm 223 for the duration of my trip. The area felt safe but I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to. The vendors and the beggar’s aggressively singled out the one American in my group, me. Overall a nice hotel, recently built, good security team, friendly staff, and located in the heart of everything.
