It was a nice stay, quiet and relaxing. The room was very comfortable. There was a restaurant on the premises, but I didn’t try it. The proprietor gave me a delivery menu from a nearby place.

Our smoke free room, reeked of smoke, the cable was out. When we voiced our complaints & wanted compensation we were told we got a discount from Expedia so that was all we get. No relocation to a non smokey room or any solution for the headaches we suffered from the smell.

The staff were friendly and professional. The room was spacious and well-kempt for the price. Carpet could probably stand replacement, but overall clean, comfortable and quite a bargain for Chicago metro area. Not much in the immediate area, but then again that lent to a somewhat bucolic environs.

For my needs, the location is the main attraction and it is a relatively quiet area. The rooms are run down and need some basic updating, especially the bathrooms. Towels and such could be newer as well.

I stayed in room that had no heat as far as could see. It was ‘40 degrees outside. I slept in a jacket and a hoodie. When I checked on the manger took my information though a open window. I wasn’t even allowed in the office. I will never stay here again.
