it is the quintessential bed and breakfast inn: quirky, amusing, sweet, comfy, a bit artistically shabby and eccentric in a nice way!

I couldn’t tell you much about the staff since me and my family came in late and left early. So we did not even have time for the breakfast they served.
But what I can say is that I definitely would recommend this bed and breakfast. It’s so cozy and comfortable.
The bedroom was delightful and the shower was spectacular.

What a great B&B to stay at, Especially if you like venerable historic restored homes with character and comfort! Upgraded plumbing, fixtures and HVAC provides flexibility in individual comfort preferences. The custom cooked to order breakfast very nice! Great Italian restaurant right next door for other meals. Only improvement would be a better grade of toilet paper instead of the "see-through" stuff on the roll.

We walked up to the home which didn’t seem bad and wanted to experience a bed and breakfast and this had decent reviews we have it a try. Upon entering the home has an old musty smell! When we walked in we heard a laugh in the dining room area but continued in. Every step was a creek in the floor , as this was a very old never updated residence. The creaking and old musty smell we still proceeded up the stairs. We didn’t realize the bathroom would be out of the bedroom, don’t usually dress or bring my clothes into a bathroom to change. We were given a code to access the bedroom but found the bedroom door ajar. In the bluebird room, there was a creepy blue old dirt worn saggy cushion chair in the corner of the room. There was a door blocked connecting to another room. The whole vibe was very creepy very haunted house very ghosts are watching! With the creepy chair must floors the door was already open and the laugh downstairs we were creeped out! We left !! We booked another room and left immediately!! When we went downstairs since the house was so creaky and we never heard people creek away but there was no one in the living area … creepier !!! Because who was the laugh ?! We stayed at a normal hotel. We contacted Expedia regarding our experience and they stated they reached out to the home but none of the stay will be returned due to the policies!! This is an old musty creepy creepy not updated haunted house type place! The smell creeks in the floor were too much!

I booked the Borland House Inn as part of a trip to the state track and field championships because the prices in nearby Middleton were too high. What an amazing surprise awaited me! I absolutely loved this beautiful, charming inn.
If you love history you will love this inn. It’s located in a gorgeous home built in the late 18th century and features historical decor throughout. The rooms are elegant, large and lovely. The beds are comfortable. Everything is clean and thoughtfully provided. The rooms are so, so quiet. We had a great sleep. I want to come back here with my husband for a romantic weekend!

The bed in the Bluebird room was not firm on one side of the bed and felt like you were in a hammock according to my husband. The right side of the bed was firmer.
The breakfast was very good.
