10/10 Exceptional

The staff were very friendly, they provided a sack lunch for my day trip to Machu Picchu, and the breakfast had great options (and coca leaves for my water bottle, for the remainder of my trip). Loved seeing the stars, moon, and mountains from the rooftop terrace at night, with the low light pollution.

This is a great hotel in a really good location a short walk to the main plaza. Helpful staff who went out of their way to help us organise tours and transport. Good breakfast. Nice terrace with beautiful views over the Inca ruins.

The views from the roof terrace are magnificent and unique to the town. I would stay here just for that. The lower courtyard is also charming with beautiful flowers. The staff is wonderful

Well located in the old city near the plaza, it still give serenity. The Staffs and the owners are all nice and friendly. The best part is its view from the top terrace. You can see the whole ruins and mountains in the morning. Highly recommend

This property is tucked away in the cobblestone streets an easy 5 minute walk to the plaza. The two twin room was nice and there was hot-ish water and a hair dryer. The patio had the most wonderful view. We didn’t get to eat breakfast since we had an early tour. I appreciated that they had both purified and boiled water and a lot of it for guests so we could fill our water bottles before our trek. The only thing was our 3rd floor room, although quiet, was quite cold. Colder than the temperature outside! We weren’t offered a heater but didn’t ask for one either. All in all I would stay here again

Hotel Intitambo offers a truly memorable experience with its stunning mountain views that are nothing short of breathtaking. The hotel's authentic ambiance, combined with its cleanliness and comfort, makes for a welcoming and cozy stay. Upon arrival, we were feeling unwell due to the altitude, but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel better. They provided special tea and food that helped immensely, and even allowed us to check in early, which was a great relief. This level of care and attention to guests' needs is what makes Hotel Intitambo stand out. The location is another fantastic aspect of this hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk to the main square, where you can find a variety of restaurants and activities to enjoy. The convenience of being so close to the heart of town while still enjoying a peaceful, scenic setting adds great value to the stay. Overall, Hotel Intitambo provides a perfect blend of comfort, authenticity, and exceptional service. Whether you're looking to relax and take in the unbelievable mountain views or explore the local area, this hotel is an excellent choice.
DeAngelo, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This hotel is a gem, located a couple of blocks from Plaza de Armas, within the quaint network of cobblestone streets with irrigation canals. We walked everywhere, including to the Ollantaytambo ruins. Our room was clean and spacious. It's not a huge modern hotel, so keep that in mind. The common areas are beautiful. We had our coffee in a charming courtyard full of flowering plants and a huge tomato tree. The terrace has breathtaking views of the surrounding ruins and mountains and is a perfect place for sky-gazing if the weather permits. We enjoyed the breakfast, with fresh local fruit and breads. But the best part of our stay was the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They really did treat us like family, gave us advice on local places to visit/eat at, and even gave us all hugs when we were leaving. We left our luggage there after check-out, and when we went back to pick-up, Marcella at the front desk saw how tired we were (after our Machu Picchu hike) and immediately offered us some coffee and refreshments. We had a great stay, and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Quarto limpo, café da manhã saudável com opções orgânicas. Ponto positivo para o atendimento da gerente, Sra. Elsa, extremamente atenciosa. Voltarei a me hospedar no hotel com certeza.

Hyggelig betǰening. Godt renhold. Fin beliggenhet. Hvis du kommer sent inn må du ha gjort avtale øå forhånd. Vi fikk en litt ubehagelig erfaring på det punktet, men klarte å løse det takket være en hjelpsom politimann.

Overall

Pros: Location Service Affordability Cons Visit during the winter. There is no heat so the rooms get very cold at night and in the morning.

Could be better a bigger sign with the hotel name on the closest main street (initially hard to find the hotel)

Good place to stay except…

The facility itself is good. The view on its roof top porch is breath taking. It would have been a perfect stay except there is a chicken coop next to the building. Roosters were noisy. Bring ear plugs if you want to stay here and enjoy the fantastic view.
