I would describe this property as a boutique hotel with a very family run feel. The rooms were tidy and clean was comfortable beds He offers an ample free breakfast When the front desk learned we were going on a detour they had a breakfast lunch ready prepared for us.

The staff at Isla Rey Jorge were friendly, helpful and quick to assist with any needs. Very conveniently located at an easy walk to the main plaza and the oceanfront. The facility is slightly shabby, but very clean and comfortable. A great value for the price.

This is a hotel with remarkable character. There are a few minor issues but they are negligable indeed. The rooms, towels and sheets are very clean (some minute details need to be attended), the water pressure is wonderful, the reception staff, especially the older gentleman, are very helpful (one younger receptionist could not help me with a couple of my needs but next morning the older gentleman fixed everything gracefully). The breakfast is basic, diverse and satisfactory. The location of the hotel is brilliant. There are nice cafes and great restaurants within two bloc radius and the magellan strait is right there to admire. It is close to handcraft shops, regular stores and a couple of supermarkets. Highly recommend. Next time in Punta Arenas, I shall stay there.

The bathroom shower did not work, there was hair in the cheese slices for breakfast. I did tell the staff. Mold on bathroom ceiling. This hotel is not worth the price. Funny all the bathroom shampoos and conditioners were half full. Seems to have be there from other visitors. So disappointing, Do not use this facility.
