Arrived in Tawas around 1:00 pm. Couldn't check in until 3 pm unless you wanted to pay $20 for early check in. No, we don't. Bar didn't open until 4. So, we went downtown for lunch and came back at 2:30. My niece paid the $20 but they said ours still wasn't clean. At 2:50 we finally got the room. They lost our lunch, bar and future business. There was a bug on the chair in the morning and the lobby was cold.

Great Location

We thought it was clean, but the room was bare. It was a king room with only a little refrigerator and nothing else. I didn't even have a bench to put your things on. The front desk person female not sure of name. She was there Sunday afternoon check in July 20 and the morning of Mon July 21 check out dark long hair. She was not friendly at all. If you work in hospitality, you should have the personality for it. We did enjoy the Bikinis bar outside and loved the restaurant on the property. The people there were amazing. Beautiful location.

Room temperature control-better policy

Late afternoon when entering room, noted room was extremely cold. We fiddled with temperature controls, then left the room for a late dinner/drink. Return, which was late, there was NO difference in air temp (66 degrees). Desk explained that during the extreme heat wave, just before we came, maintenance locked room controls so people would not mess with them. Unfortunately, the extreme cold room kept us from sleeping comfortably and having a productive next day.
