Musty smell. Clean hotel room

Room was clean. Manager that checked us in was very friendly. The hotel smelled musty upon entering the building and in all the halls and common areas. I did not realize that the pool area was open to the common areas resulting in the musty smell. Was looking for a room that had 3 beds for 3 adults. Attending Iowa state football game and needed a reasonably priced room. I do not think that I would choose this hotel again

There was FAR TOO MUCH & WAAAYYYY TOO MANY instances that transpired during my family vacation stay this past weekend @ Wyndam Garden Ankeny/Des Moines hotel, but I will certainly highlight a plethora of situations, so that maybe I can save someone else from the same experience as myself & my family. For the sake of transparency, please take note, as this is a 100% TRUE, honest & fruitful review of our experience with this hotel. 1. We arrived to check-in to our "poolside room" location so we could get the party started. We loaded down the luggage cart just about to the tippy-top, checked in, got the keys, start down the hall only to realize

This motel was the cleanest motel I have stayed in recent months. The lawns were clean even though they had some restorations going on. It was quiet both inside and outside despite being close to the Interstate and busy street. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
