Perfect for a getaway!

The staff were attentive and always there to help, without being overbearing. Pool on the 5th floor was high enough to be quiet enough and not too windy, and the gym was well equipped and spacious with bluetooth headphones. It would be great if the spa offered sauna and steam room. Stayed in the exec suite which has ample space to relax on a solo trip. It's a shame the room was facing a soon to be construction site and the less affluent side, but a minor issue. Earplugs were supplied. Dining options were plentiful from Italian to Asian. And breakfast was very flavoursome with a la carte and buffet opions. Definitely visit the pastry room. Would stay here again.

Overall our experience was very good. The staff and service was fantastic. The only exception was the Alto restaurant where our experience was terrible - the food was extremely poor and we did not eat it. Equally the service in the Alto restaurant was well below the rest of the hotel. That was the only poor experience and they let the rest of the hotel down. Overall aside from that, our experience was great.

All suite hotel and the suites are beautiful. Check in desk staff are excellent. Restaurant staff are welcoming and helpful. The only small problem was that when our room was cleaned the staff only left one bath towel and did not replenish the milk for coffee. Staff were very quick to bring these when we called.

The service was absolutely amazing and I was made to feel so welcomed. Everyone was so thoughtful which I think really separates the Four Seasons from other 5 star hotels. I celebrated my birthday with a trip to Jakarta and was tossing between a few hotels and so glad I decided on the Four Seasons. They made me feel extra special on my birthday! Not to mention the hotel itself is gorgeous and in a great location and feels very safe. Definitely recommend!!

A real life 5 star hotel from start to finish.

After a truly awful trip to Langkawi staying at the tan jun rhu resort - words can not express the feelings of returning back to the 4 seasons an actual real life 5 star resort. Its seems across parts of Asia you can’t count on the star system or descriptions provided by hotels.com. But you can always count on brands you trust. The 4 seasons Jakarta was everything and more it described itself to be. The difference in class of a real 5 star verse made up descriptions was clear- possibly one of the best city hotels in Asia !!!

Cannot sleep well due to morning chanting at 4am

I had read many positive reviews and decided to stay at this hotel for my recent three-night business trip in Jakarta. Everything went smoothly at first until I was awakened by some loud chanting at 4am. The chanting sound was so loud that it was impossible to ignore, like someone's singing outside of my window. It was a little past 4am, I called the front desk, and was informed it was the daily prayers from the nearby mosques. With all due respect, with this kind of surrounding sound, there is no way I can have a good sleep, especially with jet lag. I spoke to the staff. The gentleman was friendly and offered to bring earplugs. The second night, I asked to move to the other side of the hotel and a higher floor, and was awaken at the same time. The chanting was even louder than before! It turns out this hotel is surrounded by at least three mosques... So I was not surprised when the same thing happened again the following night. At that point I was just too tired and felt happy that's my last night at this hotel. This experience prompted me to write a review, which I rarely do, to give a head-up to the newcomers. Think again if you need undisrupted sleep and are not used to this kind of daily rituals. Otherwise, be prepared to be sleep deprived during the whole trip like me. I do think the hotel should try to improve its soundproofing of the rooms and give some fair warning to people that are not familiar with the situation.
