In park pros - cons
We stayed within the park to avoid traffic in/out each day. The lodging was nice, but the available restaurants in the area were not that great. We even went out of the park for dinner one night and when we headed back in before dark, there was a line for miles of people leaving....

Excellent Stay Inside Yellowstone!
We loved staying at the Canyon Lodge & Cabins!
The room was lovely (better than the photos). No air conditioning but wasn't ever needed. We walked to the Lodge dining area / cafeteria and had a great dinner and breakfasts and we were so close to the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, what a beautiful spot!

Overpriced
It is a bit pricey. The room was small, the bathroom was small, and there was no TV.

The hotel was quite nice. The food options are cafeteria style...definitely not a 4 or 5 star, but sufficient. What was great is that the hotel does have a laundry room and when hiking, necessary. It is centrally located to all of the sites and the general store is nearby to replenish anything that we needed. We loved how it catered to families and we would recommend the lodge to anyone visiting Yellowstone.

Whirlwind Yellowstone
The lodge was beautiful, but we came in after dark and it was difficult to find where to check in. Convenient location for sightseeing. Wish we had more than 1 day!

Comfortable but not a good night’s sleep.
The bed was comfortable but the pillows were small and the air con noise from somewhere in the hotel, perhaps the floor below, was like sleeping on a speaker with the bass passing through my head. No sleep. The facilities were great. The check in staff member was so helpful and patient.

Great place!
Location is absolutely astonishing. But we’re here to feedback the hotel and not nature. The rooms are very clean and my two queen was generously spacious. There were no parking issues and checking in, despite a short wait time (largest accommodations in YS). Moreover, the counter person was informative, friendly and very efficient. Loved Yellowstone, loved the canyon and loved this hotel.

Nice location. Dated facility and fixtures
The nice part: located in canyon village in the middle of the park.
But the hotel dated. Beds, mattresses, pillows, sheets were all mediocre.
