We had booked this place with high expectations and were quite disappointed. Admittedly, the main common building was very nice and the views were absolutely incredible. After that, it kind of fell down. The food was just okay but overly priced for the quality. The staff was friendly enough at times and seemed indifferent at other times. I'm guessing that most of the staff were locals (makes sense) but it seemed that the resort was one of their local social gathering places versus a place to work and be professional. The rooms were quite basic. We hadn't realized it when we booked but the rooms had no air conditioning (who doesn't do AC these days?). It has truly been one of the hottest early summers that I can recall and the room was unbearably uncomfortable. The had a small table fan in the room but it was a bit of a joke...hardly pushed any air. On a positive note about the room...the shower had good water pressure and the bed was very comfortable (aside from being way too hot in the room). Finally, the grounds were a bit unkempt. The place was clean enough, but when you looked past the facade it was unremarkable. Kinda like sweeping the dust under the carpet...you don't initially see it but it's there.
I really wanted to like this place as it is in such a beautiful setting, and I'd heard good things. But, unfortunately, it let me down on too many fronts.
