Love this small hotel

Love this hotel, the town and the great cafe downstairs. A great reminder to stay here often

Fun hotel in town

Great little hotel. Opted for the room with a private bathroom and it was really nice.

Very comfortable!

I stayed here 1 night and was really impressed with the room. I had a great sleep . Bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, clean and cool. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.

2/10 Poor

Crappy hotel

There were public restrooms and showers.. the bed was very uncomfortable.. no one at the desk.. I miss customer service the way when I was growing up!

Astoria classic

Awesome old hotel. Love the look and feel. Only (small) issue was it was a little warm in the room but it was worth it. Everything in walking distance. Would stay again. I did reserve a room with private bathroom.

6/10 Good

Great location and charming in it’s own way.

Weirdly brief check in time - (3- 5pm) and slightly worse for wear compared to the last time I visited maybe 10 years ago when it was a newly outfitted Ace hotel knockoff, but overall fine for the price despite having old chocolates from some previous tenant left in the bedside drawers. Nice little DVD / game collection in the lobby. Great location and charming in it’s own way. Broder is a good restaurant in my experience but didn’t visit this time, so I have no idea if it’s up to standard anymore. No front desk past check in, so It’s essentially an adult hostel I guess...

Great Stay but Dusty

The hotel after-hours service was fast and responsive. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the common area floors and stairwells which were very dusty. Someone actually wrote “clean me” in the dust on the stairwell.

Liked the location and style. Just wished it had a microwave, ice maker, and fridge. Otherwise really nice.

What you need and clean.

Like many places in the coast, there was not AC. The ceiling fan worked decently. The window faced an inside roof alcove thing, so not much wind came our way. The shade was broken so we could not lift it up to let air in. Other than that it was described correctly. Although I can’t recall of it said a full bed of not (black was a full). It was clean and beds were comfortable, although on harder side. It was a decent place for the price for one night. You can hear everything from inside to outside. It is an interesting place and decorated nicely for a very old building with small rooms.
McKenzie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice but tired restoration of a classic hotel. Needs; hook, towel bars, new mattresses, pillows, and bedding.
Neal, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Check in and check out were automated, we never saw a staff person the whole time we were there. Felt a bit creepy but ok. We had no problems that required staff assistance but other guests did and were grumpy about it.
Mackenzie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Not for me.

On the third floor and I believe that the AC unit is directly above that room, and every time it would turn on it starteled me awake. The bathroom and shower are shared and i wasn't aware of that until check in. Very uncomfortable process. The shower room and bathroom were clean.
Allen, 1-night trip

Not like it used to be

We have stayed here in the past and robes were provided so you didn’t have to get fully dressed to walk to the bathroom down the hall. They had foot towels to put down when you got out of the shower and they had Kleenex in the room. NOT any longer. This stay our room smelled of stinky feet when entering and the woman’s bathroom was not cleaned or was the garbage dumped the entire weekend of our stay. It was a disappointing stay compared to our visits in the past that went so well. Please bring back the robes, shower mats and Kleenex and cleaning staff then the visit would be worth the price we paid. Thank you.

Leanne, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Front desk staff was great - communicated prior to arrival about after hours check in and parking options. He was very friendly upon arrival. It's obviously a pretty old building and certain details reflect that - window gaps/lack of screens, etc. Most things have been updated, but there are a few details that could use a little care. The self serve lobby fridge was nice, but the ice machine being down was a bummer. Bed was comfy, linens were all super clean. The Keurig and electric kettle was a nice bonus. Having Broder connected was great. The addition of the lobby games and records was pretty cool. Would definitely stay again. :)
