Spotless rooms and great staff!

8/10 Very good

Friendly person at front desk. Very clean, spacious room. Great central location. It is important to understand that “lower floor” means the room is halfway underground. Large window in room, so we adjusted quickly.

Best place in Aspen

Our favorite part of Aspen. Don was so welcoming and helpful. I would never stay anywhere else while visiting Aspen.

Excellent location and friendly staff. The building and facilities are old and classic, but very clean.

No view from my room but in Aspen there are no bad views. Extremely comfortable stay with easy access to the downtown area.

This property is family run with old school charm. Everything necessary has been updated but you feel like you are in a old European hotel. The beds are very comfortable and if you have kids the family rooms are great!
Becky, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Some effort was put towards the design of the place. Definitely not a standard run of the mill hotel. I liked the ambiance!
Pavel, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Convenient location, large room, friendly staff, great price, kitchenette. It would be nice to have at least two comfortable chairs in the room as there was only one or a loveseat/small couch!
Jodie, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We slept well and had great help at the front desk with maps and directions. The room could have had 5 people comfortably. We were not there long enough but will definitely go back!
Barbara, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Our goal was skiing. The hotel is only 1.5 block from the bus stop that will take you to Snowmass, buttermilk or Airport. No need for private car at all. Grocery store is 7-8 min away by walking. A bunch of nice little restaurants in downtown area 12-15 min away by walking. Very relaxing and low stress environment. If you care more about skiing than luxury room - this place is for you.

8/10 Very good

Great location. My family was able to walk to everything in Aspen. Safe neighborhood. The RFTA free bus stop to any of the 4 ski slopes was literally one short block away. Rooms were clean, easy parking. Daily room service. The gentleman who ran the front desk was amazingly friendly, informative, and empathetic to the scheduling error (we booked an upstairs room but were given bottom floor room). He made our experience warm and memorable. We loved his open-door policy. He truly is the only reason I gave this place high markings. No washing machines, no entertainment beyond TV.

2/10 Poor

Check-in end time of 8:00 pm was buried in details. We arrived in Aspen after 8 and could not check-in. Got answering machine and no call back. Reservation is “strictly non refundable”. Had to find another place to stay which was astronomically priced since it was last minute. Was not here for pleasure and couldn’t afford it to begin with. Terrible experience.
Aaron, 1-night trip

Best staff

Absolutely the most helpful front desk staff, providing helpful advice for visiting Aspen, especially on a budget. Our room for up to 5 people was large and well maintained. This hotel has been around since 1970, and has a classic older hotel appearance but is well maintained. I would have given 5 stars if the bed was more comfortable. Sheets were older and yellowed, but clean. Pillows seemed old as well. We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for friendly, less expensive accommodations in Aspen. The road is noisy, didn’t bother us. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of less than a half mile from most attractions, restaurants and stores.
