The hotel was clean, the service was good. You can see signs of age and neglect in the general maintenance, but is a nice functional place to stay.

The worst thing about this hotel was lack of elevator. As an older couple, lugging bags upstairs was annoying and unsafe. We should’ve requested a 1st floor room.

Best Western Banner Elk turned us away from their door because we live under 30 miles away. We wanted to be in banner elk to see my nine-month old grandson as my son’s family were passing through the area. My wife and I are retired, in our sixties and not used to such stupid BS.
