Central hotel with nice amenities
Nice hotel in the heart of “town” with a hot tub and sauna. The room was clean just a little hot since it was facing the sun. Very nice place to stay on the island.

Centrally located clean, updated hotel with amenities for western travelers - hairdryer, washcloths, outlets for chargers, and small refrigerator. There is even a hot tub and sauna in the basement. Rooms were spacious. Staff very accommodating.

We loved staying at this hotel during our one night trip the island! Room was spacious and clean and bed comfy. The bar and restaurant attached is amazing - it was closed when we were there but they were open for a small private party. The Chef allowed us to stay for a cocktail or two and brought us some of his dishes - it was one of our favorite experiences while in Iceland.

A nice lobby with great staff welcomes you to the hotel, which is nicely situated in town with plenty of parking. It's easy to walk to lots of shopping and dining options.
Our room was spacious, but still felt cozy and nicely appointed. The bathroom had nice amenities and was very clean.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and ate very well before catching the ferry back to the mainland.
Great stay - we'd do it again for sure!

Recent stay (May 2025)
Hotel is clean, comfortable. Great location. Friendly staff. Beds are slightly too soft but ok. Room was spacious. Breakfast only had boiled eggs, no other types of eggs and hot water has run out, so couldn't make hot chocolate / tea and there was no staff to ask. Someone turned up eventually but I didn't bother to ask anymore as had to leave already.

The room was bigger than expected. The bathroom had counter space around the sink, which most places in Iceland didn’t. It had nice touches like a shower cap, robes and slippers, soap bar in black like volcanic ash and a vanity kit. My personal favorite, washcloths. Breakfast was elegant and abundant. Had big brown coffee mugs along with the small pretty white porcelain cups & saucers. Centrally located in town. Polite and professional staff
